The BATSUIT Thread

I believe there are probably several concept arts out there trying different ideas for the suit, however, I don't believe for a second anyone outside the highest levels of production knows what the final design is like.

Please no.

The Adam West comparison could just be in terms of color. His costume, while black, often had a bluish sheen to it, making the cape and cowl appear more navy than black.

Blue/grey with no yellow reminds me of the Earth One suit before he upgraded it and put the yellow oval on. I'd be fine with it but I still prefer some yellow lol.

If these rumours are true then I will cry tears of joy.

For me, it really depends on the execution of the design. Odd man out here, but I wasn’t particularly fond of the main Batfleck Batsuit in BvS/SS (though I do think it looked a bit better in JL). I want whatever this new Batsuit will be to look textured and cinematic.

Considering the team working on the Batsuit and everything else we’ve seen and heard about the film so far, I’m cautiously optimistic about the suit. If it’s Blue/Gray, I will be really interested in seeing how it reacts to the lighting and shadows that Reeves and Fraser will mold the film’s shots in.

I would prefer black and gray but blue and gray is classic and would also be a new and refreshing take in a live action film since the 60's.

I myself really love the Earth One suit except for the lines on the top half

Rumors make it sound like it will be similar in silhouette to what we saw in Batman Annual #4. Similar to the West costume, but sans yellow oval (because its lame) with shorter ears but less bulky and armored. Obviously on film you wouldn't have him in tights and it will have some armor look in some way.

They just announced costume directors, I think rumors are fun and exciting but also think it's a ways off from actually being "made".

That is all very interesting for our imagination, but i will keep my expectations low at the moment.
I could see a very dark blue working, something like in the "The Batman" Animated series, but im not sure.

Like i said, so far i havent seen a cosplay or manip that works for me with blue instead of black...so i can not in my head see a way how it can work in live action style...but if you have overall a dark and moody vibe, use a lot of shadows and so on...i think blue could work.

But we will need to see, im so incredible excited for the day we get our first look at the batman suit.

I think it really depends on the shade of blue, and I think not having yellow would help. It's funny that blue is a deal breaker for some fans when Batman is almost always drawn in blue shades in the comics.

Love that Arkham cowl on the first pic.

Just give us the simple Year One Mazzuchelli suit. If he's wearing some sort of muscle suit/armor underneath ala Broken City, that's fine.

Googles instead of cowl, Jacket instead of cape. No belt, suspenders. tennis shoes, and a gun.

In all seriousness, I bet we wont see anything till at least march.

See, I think the blue in the second picture looks great, and works perfectly fine. I really don't understand the hang-up some people have. Different strokes, I guess.

The blue on the comics has always been meant to represent black.
And god that second one looks hideous.
