Ironically, I usually want comic accurate suits in cbm and Batman is my top favorite hero but while I like a lot of his comic suits...I much prefer the all black armored suits from B'89-TDK! Batfleck's suit is very comic accurate and great but among my favorite bat suits of all time are the Burton suits, Arkham Origins, Arkham Knight and Telltale..which are all black and armored.
So this suit, I love!
No it wasn’t. Not during scenes.
Keaton told us it was uncomfortable in reality but you can’t see that in scenes.
He factored the mobility factor into movement in his performance. Giving his body movements language and intimidation.
Bale said TDK suit was more comfortable and mobile. The cowl gave Bale headaches which he used to be feral or angry. He only looked like he couldn’t breathe in Rises.
We don’t know how comfortable or uncomfortable this new suit is to wear. There’s nothing to base it on. It won’t matter.
I completely agree. I think the traditional comic designs for Batman work perfectly in that medium and translate beautifully to animation, but it's much harder to bring to life exactly in live action. IMO there needs to be some level of visual interpretation of the costumes in this medium to better immerse audiences into the world. And interestingly enough, I think this is generally only the case for members of the Bat-Family.
There's justifications for being more overtly comic accurate with a lot of Batman characters outside the family. For example, Catwoman doesn't need to wear a ton of body armor, because she's typically a cat burglar. Characters like Joker, Two Face and Penguin are all essentially crime bosses or insane criminals. Ra's Al Ghul has the Lazarus Pit, so if he gets shot, what's it to him? So on and so forth.
But then with the Bat-Family, they're all just human beings in fit shape and extreme training, but lack superpowers and are on a constant war against crime taken to extraordinary heights. Really the only member of the family that I think could genuinely get away with not wearing any immediately obvious form of body armor in their costumes in a live action film is Cass.

What's not to like? Looks damn great.God I love this suit so much.

Probably because it's uncomfortable for fight scenes, so it's easier to just remove that.
I do. He wants his favorite comic version to be the inspiration for this suit. You know what he means.
No. it doesn't. It's just the white of his eyes because it's not an angle whete you could see his pupils. Plus we very clearly see his creepy eyes in the camera test and there's zero way Reeves is getting rid of them.

Hmm, just to play devil's advocate - if there were a type of lense, it looks like it would be part of the cowl and not on Pattinson's actual eyes. And it looks like they're translucent so you can see the eyes when not in use. Both versions of that stunt cowl had them but I thibk we all ruled it out as stunt meaures added for practicallityNo. it doesn't. The cowl is made of leather and in the camera test you can literally see his eyelashes sticking out.Hmm, just to play devil's advocate - if there were a type of lense, it looks like it would be part of the cowl and not on Pattinson's actual eyes. I also think it's premature to completely rule them out based on the notion Reeves would never get rid of his eyes, because for starters he hasn't. But that doesn't mean with 100& certainty he would never have them in a handful of scenes
If this cowl does indeed have lenses, that would bring this suit from a 3 to an 8 for for me
Maybe that's one difference between the final cowl and this one, who knows? I'm not gonna rule it out. It would be a wonderful feature to have in this new cowl. The cowl is made of leather and in the camera test you can literally see his eyelashes sticking out.

I really don't see any way in which you could incorporate lenses, or why you even should for that matter.
