The BATSUIT Thread

When we got the teaser, I was take aback by the suit looking like it was oddly put together. The homemade looking mask (that I loved) wasn't really merging with the techy chest and shoulders (that I didn't really like since I always kind of hate the armor look on Batman).
When the set pics from UK arrived, I saw that the armor look was limited to the torso and the whole thing felt more homogene. I start to really liking it (one of the rare...).
The only 2 things that I'm still not conviced are the huge and busy gauntlets, and those straps on the arms. On the batmobile pics, it looks like Batman is wearing a T-shirt...
But now if in the actual movie, the suit appears closer to the manip above, I would have nothing to say. It could straight up be my favorite live action suit.
We'll see, but for now I'm really optimistic on the visual direction of this movie.

It's definitely the self-made vibes of it. Self-made and hand-made, not excessively "techy", like a lot of the Ryan Meinerding Marvel costumes (which the chest portion kind of is). It's a nice effect to imagine obsessed little Bruce Wayne working hard with a thread and needle to make himself scary.

It reminds me of the look they gave the first Nite Owl in Zach Snyder's Watchmen. Leather and thread, that whole old-timey vigilante vibe. Rough around the edges, in a good way.

Good points

You haven't even seen a good shot of it in the movie.
No amount of angles or lighting will change that horrendous mask, and you're telling me, this promotional image doesn't look like an oversized armored t-shirt? Im hoping this is just his prototype suit and that it gets destroyed, because its garbage. batcape.png

If only we could downvote on this forum.

It's funny how these manips...

... looks close to what I did a few month back with the set pics from UK...

... while on the official pics, it just looks a bit more "flat".

I think the reason is that Pattinson has a really stiff pose in those pics. Affleck posing with his batmobile was kind of the same, just standing there. I always find that to be an odd choice, it lacks a bit of theatricallity. Not a criticism, just a remark.
I'm sure it will looks bad ass on screen !

Yeah, it's not a very dynamic pose.

I definitely think its more to draw your attention towards the car.

For sure. But there are other ways to show it without having Batman looking like an action figure aha. The other pics with the cape floating was perfect though !

To me, it's one of the best live action pictures of Batman and his car, with this frame from B89 :

It helps that these are my two favorite Batmobile, but I love how the the whole thing looks ferocious in these images.

I will always love the Burton's Batman movies! They have the classic 40s feel to them that screams golden age. That's probably why I didn't mind the killings, we all know Bats murdered a lot in the earlier comics. I'm loving everything about Matt's Batman from the suit to the bat-bike and that sexy muscle car bat-mobile:batty::hmr:

That top pic is up there with my favorite live action bat images.

the batsuit look phenomenal in the costume reveal, with giacchino Music.
but thoses picture with the Batmobile.yikes...pattinson skinny body doesnt give it justice Enough,..i trust reeves and his team to make it imposing enough.

As people have said though, those shots are about the car, not the suit.

Not a fan of the suit by the way.

It would be dope to get a issue mini black series of this batman

I would like to see a comic tie-in to the movie. Seems like we don’t see a lot of that now. At least not DC-wise.

I hope we can finally get good 6” figures. Those DC Universe ones are too artistic... not practical looking.

Basically I want a Star Wars Black Series lone for this new trilogy... with accurate face printing/painting.

Movie Masters were ok for 2005-2008, but look pretty boring now.

Mafex is my go to for movie figures. They did a batpod back in the Nolan Days so I hope we can get the new Batcycle as well
