For me, Reeves' comments at FanDome were the nail in the coffin of the second suit rumours. Reeves is treating the suit itself like a character. It already shows Batman's history (the first year) and it will go on a journey and arc like Batman himself. Reeves' description of Bruce repairing, tweaking, and upgrading the suit as he goes against a Nolan or MCU Iron Man style new suit. It suggest more to me that if there are any changes it will be minor upgrades to the existing suit that we have all seen. It will be little details that move this current suit towards a more refined version and I have a feeling that approach will continue throughout the Reeves' trilogy.

Can't wait.

Whenever it is, it would be nice for a redesign to be freshly revealed when we're actually in the theater.

New suits, even ones that don't make an appearance until late in the film, seem to be overexposed in all the marketing. WW84 being a recent example.

This is almost certainly because of the toy industry. Wonder Woman's new outfit needs to be shown in promotional materials so they can have toys on the shelves before the movie even releases. If they wait until after the movie is out to even produce the toys of the new suit, they will miss the boat.

Watched the Batman Forever trailer and they show both his suits and even Robin’s in there. Heck, the first Iron Man trailer showed all three armors in the movie.

Out of all the things that can count as legit spoiler gripes for movies, I don’t care if they reveal an upgraded costume or not in any of these upcoming trailers. I’m sure people will flip over the eventual Lego leaks anyway, even if they’re not always correct.

Yes, it was known well enough that there was a cathedral set at the time and that it would feature a funeral sequence with Bruce attending it, only for it to be interrupted by the Riddler via a bomb-strapped victim driving a car with a phone Facetiming the event.

Part of this is because there'd been news from, I believe, the Cardington twitter account noting that they'd built a replica of the cathedral next to the Necropolis graveyard from Glasgow in the shed.

It won't and I'm glad it won't happen.

I really like the current costume so I don’t need to hold out for future versions. I’ll welcome future versions for the sake of variety anyway though.

Yeah I love the costume, so consider me part of the camp not rushing towards a replacement. It’s cool if Bruce tinkers with the suit throughout the film, but I’d be okay if those don’t reflect any significant aesthetic change.

Of course that being said, being a fan of the suit, I also welcome any other iterations that this creative team delivers. They obviously do good work

Anyone thinking they’re going to introduce a more typical looking bat suit in this movie should probably look over at the Batmobile and batbike for all the reasons you need why this won’t happen.

Reeves has a firm idea of what his Batman is. It’s isn’t one with a hyper real aesthetic. I’m pretty convinced this will be Battinson’s suit for a long time, with a few improvements and upgrades here and there. We’re not going back to the rubber wet suit, any more than we are the tech tank and motorcycle.

So in light of the HQ lossless downloadable release of the trailer finally available, I decided to go back and investigate the scene of Batman in the room full of cops and look at it frame by frame.

As I suspected, it is very clearly Batman getting off a gurney, rather than Batman lunging at a particular cop. You can see the gurney in at least one shot and there's another shot where Batman has a visible arc upwards in the frame, before transitioning his legs off the platform he's on and then getting off the gurney, all while Gordon and the cops try to stop him from moving.

So yeah, I'm sticking with my theory that that scene is set after the bomb goes off at the funeral- and thus the rumor of a second suit remains less likely IMO.

Nah, I remember the funeral scene leaked before that rumor from another person. I'm thinking that guy just regurgitated that info with his own fake leak- and then people went back and remembered it without remembering that the funeral scene already leaked beforehand.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure the second suit story is bogus.

There's just too many reasons the second suit idea doesn't make sense for it to be true. If it originally stated that it was a prologue suit and the suit we've seen is the second suit, that would make more sense. But there's too many holes in the current rumour

God, I love the very slight stubble in this shot. I've never liked the Batfleck-style heavy stubble (I find it very distracting), but I love this because it perfectly fits the look of a Bruce who has been out on patrol all night.
