Eating six small meals a day is the best way to keep your metabolism working all day at a constant rate.

You're going to live off of fast food? Ew. Just make a bunch of stuff in advance, like burritos or something. It's not that hard.

No, I'm not living off fast food. And yes it is that hard to prepare the four meals between breakfast and dinner for the 6-7 days a week I normally work. When I can go to El Pollo Loco, buy two breasts that's only equate 450 calories, 18 g fat, 0 carbs and 72g protein and now I have two meals cover almost half my daily protein intake for $3.

so I'm going to go a little off topic.

I've started using those Fast Food diet guides because I've come to the conclusion that as long as I have to prepare my own meals, I will never ever be able to eat six times a day. So I started investigated what lurks in the drivethrus and I have to same I'm pretty happy with the recommendations. El Pollo Loco and Jack in the Box (of all places) are key.
I'm munching on sunflower seeds now. That's how I get to eat constantly. :oldrazz: That, cereal, and chocolate, but chocolate is probably not all that good for you. :o

Fast food is eh, but El Pollo Loco is okay. I mean, you know it's chicken. My coworker has gotten sick from Jack in the Box more than once, so I dunno about that...



And may I say, I'm so glad I don't have a TV right now. I'm just beginning to accept that Heath's gone, and I don't need any media frenzy about rumors and Joker did this etc.

It's actually SHH! fault. Check the thread title, it says "debate" in it. As long as that work is in there, guys like Damien think they have the green light to behave that way in the thread.

Depends on your metabolism firstly. My sister's the same way, but she doesn't eat six small meals, she usually eats a whole bunch of veggies and crackers in between meals. Of course, she's also a student and doesn't do a lot of physical activity, so she doesn't need a whole lot of nutrients.
I have no idea what El Pollo Loco is and I'm not super savvy on all the nutritional info, but whatever you feel you need, it's your choice. I just find it ew.
 
I only eat two real meals a day...and other stuff in between.

I'm okay with fast food every once in a while. Like, every 2 months or so.
 
I have no idea what El Pollo Loco is and I'm not super savvy on all the nutritional info, but whatever you feel you need, it's your choice. I just find it ew.

El Pollo Loco - think the exact opposite of KFC. It's all grilled and not breaded.

You're making it out like I made some radical lifestyle change. No. What I'm pointing out is that there are a lot of situations with my schedule where I'll go an entire work day without eating because the only places within range or fast food restaurants - so I basically started researching the menus and found things that aren't just the least toxic thing available but beneficial to what I'm trying to accomplish and taste good and inexpensive.
 
I only eat two real meals a day...and other stuff in between.

And you're really skinny. One the reasons is that you keep your metabolism active because of the other stuff in between.

When I was the biggest tub of butter - I never breakfast, went out for lunch (the bad stuff on the menu) and then usually ate whatever was around when I got home or again picked something up. Now that whole time between dinner and my next meal my metabolism put itself in starvation mode meaning it wouldn't burn because my body had no idea when I'd take food in again.

Oh, okay. I must've misinterperted your original statement, I thought you were going to try a new diet of eating mostly fast food, not decided to merge it with your diet for better convience. I gotcha now.

I friggin LOVE KFC. Bring on the chicken fat! :woot:

It's easier to eat healthy at fast food places now, since they're trying to be more diet-conscious. Still not all that cheap, but...it's an option.
