Gambon and Harris played very different Dumbledores. Harris was more the kindly grandfather type where Gambon is more a stern mentor.

And I actually think that if they do re-cast Joker, and I think they should if the story calls for it, then the new actor should do his best to distance himself just enough from Heath's portrayal to make the character his own. If we get another actor that just tries to copy Heath verbatim, then he's doomed because we'll just say "that's not Heath." But if he starts from scratch just like Heath did and look to Heath for some influence and immurse himself equally then I think he'll get a more positive reaction.

You should give it a try. It was ok for me, but others love it. Just remember: you have to stop playing sooner or later, otherwise you end up like so.
