The best fast food marketing for a movie?

I saw that commercial...weird.

Just watched the commercial and it's fine. I can kinda see the whole objectifying women etc point but it really is moot and non-existant considering that kids watching this will only see it as "people with square butts" and it will crack them up because thats just how kids work.

Also they mention Spongebob wearing a thong and show a clip of it so I don't think it should be that big a deal.

I miss BK actually having mascot characters... not King pedophile that they're using now, but those cartoon kids, like the blonde kid in the Toy Story commercial, or the hispanic kid in the wheelchair.

Anyone else remember them?

Vaguely. Those were the days.

I think one of the kids had some sort of, like, Geordi LaForge visor or something...

I rember When ninja turtles first moive came out. pizza hut had some toys. i don't rember them. i think they did X-Men cartoon they had box of different X-Men people on it. i got one of them.

MCDONADLES HAD fLISTONES CUPS WHEN THE FLISTONES MOIVE CAME OUT.

Haha, that Square Butt commercial was actually pretty funny.

But why the **** is his nickname "Wheels"? It's like hey, we're gonna beat you over the head with the fact that you're a cripple... why??

Why? Because it was the early 90's , the beggining of the "everything is sterile and politically correct" world we live in today.

It was the lead kid and the BK by my place still has a statue of him up in front of the play castle lol

You wanna talk about missing Burger King mascots go look up the ones they had in the 70's and shed a tear for the fallen (and yes the current molesto-King is actually an original BK character from back in the day, just updated with a new "Chris Hanson be damned" attitude).

That "I'll get drive-through" line may suck, but I've still got those Batman Forever McDonald's glasses (actually, I broke one recently, that was kinda sad). Those Fellowship of the Ring Burger King goblets were pretty cool too.

I have all four batman forever cups. Wish I still had the ones from returns. Don't remember the 89 movie ones from taco bell! That was awesome.

Found in another thread in community but here's the BK kids complete with names :woot:

I forgot how stereotypical this was. The ****ing geek is named IQ and the kid in the wheelchair is Wheels. I know there's something racist about the black dude named Jaws, but give me a minute. :o

No joke, he was named Jaws because he ate a lot.

Was just going to mention 7-11 for how they marketed the Simpsons movies...when they converted a few select stores nationwide into Quickie Marts...awesome.
That was great. Not only did we get squishee cups, we also got Buzz Cola; the pink-glazed donuts looked stale, though :( .

Yes, but it was only a certain few 7-11's that were converted (aka, none of them were near me).

The Star Trek stuff at BK is pretty kickass. Especially the glasses.

Me too lol

I read about the upcoming BK promos (Trek, Transformers, G.I. JOE:INO) and saw they were offering glasses for Star Trek. Now I'm not a Trek fan in the least (but actually want to see the new one) but I am a fan of character glasses.

If you remember, these types of glasses were BIG in the 70's and 80's with everywhere from fast food places to gas stations offering them featuring everything from Aquaman to Ghostbusters 2. If you have no idea what I'm talking about google it.

Anyways I heard about the BK Trek glasses and stoped in after work to check them out. I like them a lot and am actually getting a set.

Oh and btw, for Transformers BK is doing a special TF themed hamburger. If any of you remember me talking about how addictive the Indy one was, expect me to be in whopper rehab by August.:woot:

Hey guys there are Terminator: Salvation cups and straws at 7-11 now! They are similer to the recent Wolverine ones 7-11 did.

Hahaha, I remember the LOTC goblots. They were EPIC. :D
