What about Jesse Ventura's mini gun from Predator ?

Agent Smith's .50 desert eagle ? ( also endorsed by Bullet Tooth Tony)

My personal favorite is.....the Wave Motion Gun !

I was just thinking about that as I opened the thread :funny:

A few more popped in to my head

Batman: The Joker's Revolver

Just for the sheer comic book over the top nature of it.

Wanted: The Corner Shot Shotgun

A gun that would be a god send in any cover based shooting game, this gun can actually articulates 90 degrees so you can fire it round corners from cover.

Suicide Squad: Deadshots Wrist Guns

These just looked so damn awesome, plus they made Will Smith look even more cool which is usually very hard.

Looper: Blunderbuss

One of the only things I really remember about this movie was the gun. Mainly because I liked the blend of the old Blunderbuss style with a more futuristic twist.

M41A Pulse Rifle for me, the noise it makes, the design, and the amount of damn bad ass scenes it is involved in just make it the best movie gun for me.

Bit different as here in the UK we get a lot more exposure to cars than we do guns.

Also the Delorean is kind of a massive part of the plot of the movie so its a bit different.

There is no "bit different" or "here", because I am in the UK as well. I know nothing about guns, but know about both the Walther PPK and the 44 Magnum. They are iconic parts of those films. Everyone knows about those guns and could tell you what guns James Bond or Dirty Harry carry.

The 44 Magnum is also a major plot point of some of the Dirty Harry films too (eg Magnum Force) and he also says an iconic line in Dirty Harry that everyone knows: "This is a 44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off."

If you don't want to use the Delorean example, then take something like Starsky and Hutch. People know that they drive around in a red and white striped Ford Gran Torino. However people in the UK have probably never seen one in person.

It's like knowing what cocktail James Bond drinks even if you don't drink yourself. Everyone knows it's a Vodka Martini, shaken not stirred.

Arguably some of the other guns people have mentioned in this thread are ones which people wouldn't know the make of but would just say it's the gun from such and such a film. But people know James Bond's gun and Dirty Harry's gun. They transcend gun knowledge (or lack of knowledge).

Any of the vintage comicstrip to movie-serial Buck Rogers & Flash Gordon "laser" weapons precursor to all movie sci-fi fantasy guns.

The way that scene was executed. Also, all the guns from Aliens
I think that it was more impressive in Predator. when a regular human who didn't have time to bleed wielded the minigun. All that I can say about the Aliens smart gun is that the Colonial Marines must have never faced an enemy who could shoot at them or their fire support being unable to get behind cover would be blown away before they could use their firepower.

M41a Pulse Rifle, for sure! There's just something about it that's had me wanting one ever since I first saw Aliens. The ammo counter is even set to 42! :D

Well I have just demonstrated to you that's not the case lol.

Plus I would still maintain the Delorean is a far more of an important part of the plot than either of those guns Bond & Harry can both lose their guns and pick up another one while the Delorean is the only time travelling car in the story.

They've both been added now anyway so make your vote for your favourite of the two.

I like Deckard's gun as well but never realized it had 2 triggers.

I don't care for the second trigger, but it isn't noticeable so not a big deal to me. How did you like the design for K's blaster in 2049? I didn't like it much but it has grown on me. In some photos the grip appears very shiny which I don't like. Looks duller here;
