I'd be down with that. I'm not really that white anyway.

Alright, well it's almost time for the interview. If there are any 20-30 NY hypsters who want to grab a drink with the f**king man today, while I'm still in the mood to drink, buzz me at 347-678-7808.

Yo head to Little Brazil. I'm not sure about the bars, but the women there are crazy. Real talk.

That sounds decent, and I think I remember reading about Little Brazil in some guide, but,

A) where is it
b) "Real Talk"? Do I have to talk like that?

And a delayed c) I'm surprised the NYhypsters aren't more solidated. With such a connected city, which probably has a ton of hypsters, why aren't more hypsters drinking with each other? We need to bring this thing together.

Good luck on the job interview, Van. And, yes, you HAVE to start using phrases like "Real talk" now that you're a Yawker.

I picked that up in California years ago, so.. Go nuts?

What the **** does that mean?

What? You don't want me to wish you good luck on the interview? Fine...I hope you f**k it up and they laugh at you.

I just realized that I never ranted/raved about NY after my trip...

Let's just say for now that I hate fate for letting SM3 begin filming one week after I left...

Well I guess I've been away from CA too long (the 80's). I've never heard "real talk" before. Seriously, what's that mean?

It's the equivalent to "seriously." Ex.

"****, my girlfriend is pregnant."
"Oh ****, real talk?"
"Real talk."

we are. its just that the ones who have it together and connected....are grups.

I must be in the wrong circle because I've never heard the term "real talk" used before.

Drinking age:down
Most people I know manage to buy beer from the store and then we have house parties

How hard is it to commute from Queens to Jersey City? I've been wanting to get a different job from this charity gig because the hours are so rough, and the work is really ****ing stressful. I just got a call early in the AM from some place in Jersey City offering me a job for something. Given that I don't own a car, is that commute doable?

It's do-able, but it'll take a little longer and be more expensive. the PATH and the MTA are separate systems so you'd be paying a double fare everytime you travelled.

Hm, well she's calling me back later with the details of the job. I told her I'd just woken up, so we cut it short. If the job's cool and well paying, which I doubt it would be at this point, then I'll think about it. I was offered an awesome job a couple weeks ago while I was doing salesesque sort of stuff in Jersey that was about 1000 bucks a week, but in Hoboken :down

Ugh nasty commute. Drive or subway into Manhattan from Brooklyn and then the Path into Hoboken. What is that 45?

But hey if the pays worth it.

Hm, it's gotta be more than 45. My commute from Elmhurst Queens to the Canal/Broadway office for Save The Children is about 45 minutes. The only reassurance is that I got the call literally 4 hours after I made a monsterjobs entry. I'm at the point where I want ANYTHING because the hours bite, and doing door to door charity work has got to be the most depressing and stressful thing ever. Seriously, you wouldn't believe how s**ty the work is.

Ever since I got a 15 minute commute, I can't imagine going back.

Wow, almost 12 hours in and not a mention of 9/11's fifth? C'mon, NYers...represent.

An' Max, cool site fer McCaren there. Nice pics. I found one that had detailed plans fer a proposed renovation into a community park, but unfortunately have no access to my favorites list currently. A web search should pull it up.

Hm, is 9/11 Memorial day something you should or shouldn't drink to?
