Infinity War The Black Order

I don't follow comics, but would the Black Order draw comparisons to the Ringwraiths of LOTR?

I wouldn't complain in the least if that happened - despite having little to no dialogue the Ringwraiths were genuinely threatening and otherworldy. Hopefully Silvestri can come up with a memorable theme for them.

Why on earth would they draw comparisons to the Ringwraiths of LOTR? They don't look anything like them. Maybe only Corvus Glaive does a little, but the rest don't at all:

They're just a varied collection of badass bastards.

A group of otherworldly/alien beings with superhuman powers sent into distant lands to retrieve artifacts, in service of an evil master with unfathomed powers.
Sounds familiar to me.

The main thing that sold me on the Ringwraiths was simply their presence and the dread they brought every time they were on-screen. All the good guys - from the Hobbits to Gandalf the White - feared them. Appearances aside, I'd love to see something similar from the Black Order, even if they aren't riding horses or fell beasts.

Oh sure I'm sure you can break down 20% of the villians out there to make them match whatever description you'd like. the more vague you make the description, the more villians it will apply to...you're reaching

I seriously doubt anyone is going to think of the Ringwraiths when they see the Black Order.

Maybe people will think of Sauron when they see Thanos. :o

Ebony Maw could be changed to be a
child
of Thanos too

So when Thanos said he'd do it himself...he didn't mean it literally... ;)

I wonder what Thanos got them for their 18th birthdays. Probably a planet to slaughter and desolate. He is a caring dad :)

He likely will be going after some by himself while sending the Black Order to get the others. Faster than just going to each planet by himself and snatching them one at a time.

"Fine. I'll do it myself."

*The Mad Titan rises resolutely from his throne, and for what seems like the first time in forever he feels the cold but gentle touch of the wind on his butt. He doesn't like it and sits down again.*

"Uh, actually, you know what? Send in the Black Order."

Those cold butt winds are a real bummer.

So we might get the Black Order reveal this weekend but until then check out this team pic I just happened to come upon (from Marvel Future Fight)

This is Thanos. Someone should have been prepared for this possibility. Next time one of his minions needs to grab his butt as soon as gets up to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again.

Think of the children Ice.

Amazing, faithful designs. They are gonna look so badass in motion

My favorite look is Proxima Midnight. She looks like a boss.

Is Supergiant not part of this? I was hoping she would be.

And why aren't they calling him Black Dwarf? Is that not politically correct now?

Aren't we missing someone else?
