The shield would still need something to grip inside or how else would Steve hold on to it to fight?

The city could just be on top of a mountain with low cloud cover. Like here in the French Alps.

Not completely true. As described in certain descriptions and seen on the Hot Toys figures and promo shots, the shield is now equipped with retractable metal handles instead of the previous leather straps.

Thing is we saw the stunt girl doing those shots early on (assuming that you did, maybe you didn't) so that probably biased it for us.

This was Natasha's trailer and these shots absolutely stole the show! Ever since that first pic of her on the bike I've been looking forward to this sequence and it looks like it will deliver beyond my expectations!

I imagine the only CGI is the truck, the rest can easily be done with a rig.
