The Boondocks Thread

Feels like Community Season 4 all over again. These episodes feel souless.

How can they say Ruckus was a Republican nominee but NOT have an episode about it?

So I'm hearing Tom actually stands up to his wife for her "Wandering Eyes" this season, Can anyone tell me what exactly happened in said episode?

He walked up to her and said, "Sarah...err. I mean. *****! Get yo ass in the car!":oldrazz:

What actually happened was that he kept getting put out by Sarah because he was too wimpy. She hated how he always apologized, and in the meantime this guy who is basically Chris Brown is employing Tom to help him get off for robbing a convenience store. He gives Tom advice about Sarah, and in the end Tom ends up fighting him. Sarah then respects him more, they get it on, and that's pretty much it. There's more to it, but that's basically the relevant parts.

I haven't watched it yet. This sounds ominous.

I finally watched it and it is pretty ominous. It wasn't even funny.

I believe the episodes are out of order. I felt the same way after they aired the first episode. Wasn't DuBois a prosecutor, but in the first episode he is now a defense attorney? I don't remember this happening in season three. The same thing with Ruckus being a nominee.

I also noticed the show is lacking in the music department. Bumping hip hop beats used to be a prevalent part . I heard MadVillany for the first time on this show, but this season has no real music so far. :csad:

Just watched the episode and while I did enjoy the focus on the Dubois family AND Tom finally showing backbone towards his wife the episode was kinda meh.

Man, McGruder would have made this so much better

I knew it wasn't gonna be the same but I thought it was at least gonna be enjoyable, stupid fun.

.... but its not even funny. Can't believe this is happening to one of my all time favorites...

Disappointing. I can see where it could have been funny but every mark was missed.

It's still not as bad as The Office. I loved that show but I couldn't sit through a lot of the episodes in the last 2-3 seasons (the series finale was good at least). These two episodes of The Boondocks haven't been awful. They're mildly entertaining, but not funny. The Chris Brown parody was kinda funny (mostly when he gave a hollow, back-handed apology). This episode was funny when Ruckus was on. But that was really it.

Found the latest episode to be boring.

Episode 3 was great, an improvement on the first 2 episodes for sure. Liked that they did the Breaking Bad thing but the whole Bomb Wave Cream thing was hilarious.

This episode was more like vintage Boondocks. I've never seen Breaking Bad, but I still found this funny. My only complaint is that I would have liked more development on the gangsters. I loved the ending.

Just finished it. Loved the Breaking Bad references and just overall, I thought the flow of this episode was much more consistent than the past 2 by a mile.

Never watched Breaking Bad but it was entertaining enough. Better than the first two for sure.

This last episode was much better than the first two.

Funniest line (imo) this season.

"Oh, thank you, Jesus! Always knew if I pretended to believe in you, it would pay off someday!"

I finally watched episode 3 and 4 and I have to say I enjoyed them as well.

Is it me, or does the voice talent seem to not be too into it this season? Maybe the lack of McGruder bummed them out because I'm hearing a bunch of people half ass it besides Uncle Ruckus.

I don't think that's the case.

Last night's episode was hilarious. My only complaint was that it should have been titled, "The Story of Robert Freeman."
