How about this one.

Riddle #38:

If it takes 10 men, 10 days to dig a hole. How long will it take 5 men to dig half a hole?

15 days

10 X 2 = 20

10 divided by 2 = 5

20 - 5 = 15 days.

Wait, how can you dig half a hole? A hole is a hole. Unless we're simply comparing to the effort that ten men could put out in ten days, the answer is that you can't have half a hole.

that's the joke. you cant dig half a hole.

Riddle 39 -

You are in a race and you overtake the person in 2nd place. What place are you in?

yes, that's right. When someone first told it to me and some others, everyone said "FIRST!"............well then..........I guess....it...wasn't....a good riddle.....after all.

*quietly side steps out of the room* :csad:

Riddle #40:

A ping-pong ball falls into a thin, long pipe buried in the ground. The pipe is barely wider than the ball. How do you get the ball out?

get a straw and...get someone ELSE to suck it out.

Is the pipe vertical? Horizontal? Is there only one end exposed?

ok the thin long pipe is burued in the ground, meaning the dirt is in the pipe as well. so when the ball falls in it will land on top of the dirt near the surface so you can just pick it out?

How about put a loop of tape onto a long stick?

Man, I'm at work, and I can't get anything done because of this...tell me I'm right!

The dirt-in-the-pipe explanation kinda makes sense.

No on both. The ball is at the bottom of the pipe. And you'd have to find a stick long enough and somehow thread it all the way down. Too hard.
