Justice League The Bruce Wayne/Batman Thread

I still think Hedlund would be great. Almost 28 years old, 6'2, good actor, has the look, deep voice. He has the essentials.

He has plenty acting talent, I just don't think he's right for Batman.

Same could be said for Keaton blah blah blah.

I think he could do it. To each as own I guess.

Hedlund? Where?

He was subpar and whiny in Friday Night Lights and Troy, nonexistent in Four Brothers, and average in Tron Legacy.

Hedlund's pretty terrible, imo. At least in FNL, Troy, Four Brothers and Tron Legacy. The only movie where he didn't bother me was, shockingly, Country Strong, but he also did nothing in that movie to make me think he could pull off Batman.

He was pretty intense in Death Sentence.
I'll just have to take your word for that and add that there are plenty of options out there who weren't bad, whiny, or monotone in the majority of their notable roles, regardless of one good one.

I rejoiced when we dodged the bullet of having him as Captain America, so it would suck if that bullet came back 'round again to him being Batman instead, a somehow even worse prospect, imo.

I really don't get why Hedlund gets so much hate. I liked him in Tron, I thought he was fine in Troy, and he even made a Lindsay Lohan movie almost tolerable. I don't think he's right for Batman though. I think he'd make a great Flash. I think he looks more like Barry, though personality wise I think he would suit Wally more. But if they used elements of both characters (like they did in the Flash TV series) that would be fine.

To each as own.

Who do you suggest?
I'd be ecstatic about any of these guys being chosen:

Michael Fassbender
Jon Hamm
Edgar Ramirez
Lee Pace
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

And I'd be cool with the prospect of these more "unknown quantities" getting a screentest:

-Joe Manganiello
-Tom Weston-Jones
-Matt Bomer
-Daniel Gillies
-Jamie Dornan
-Gabriel Macht
-Logan Marshall-Green

Gabriel macht would be someone I'd want to see as batman

Gabriel Macht has a ton of charisma and he's underappreciated, but he's too old unfortunately. I'd still like to see him in Justice League in some form.

Anyone mildly amused at the thought of JGL taking on the mantle in the new Justice League...if it were to follow any kind of continuity with Nolanverse? :yay:

I don't really have a problem with Macht but it's tough to shake the memory of him getting a toilet smashed over his head by Samuel L. Jackson.

Scarlett and Sam Jackson did just fine not reminding anyone about it in Avengers.:o

With that said, I'd prefer Macht for Aquaman, not Batman.

I think the difference there is that Sam and Scarlett had been in a bunch of other things before and were household names. When I think of Macht, my thoughts are generally, "That guy who played the Spirit and is on some USA show."

He's been in more stuff as well. Only the comic audience will always refer to The Spirit regarding him.

That's fair I guess. And yeah, I do see him more as Aquaman than Batman.
