sorry if it sounded rude i didnt mean it to be, i was just saying that when you (girl) see kirsten on screen, you might have a different reaction to her than when I (guy) sees her on screen, you said when you see her on screen you see MJ, i say when i see her on screen I dont see her as MJ.
i was attracted to MJ in the comics, and maybe you werent so whenever i see her on screen and shes not the same i dont feel the same.

Anyways, I think we can all mostly agree that BDH is a PERFECT Gwen Stacy, she's got the acting skills and beauty.

Oh, and I do believe that Bryce is a hella lot hotter than Kirsten, for the record.

"Lady in the Water" star Bryce Dallas Howard talked to Zap2it about playing Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3. Here's several clips:

The Gwen Stacy character is a fan favorite from the "Spider-Man" comic. She is Peter Parker's first love and one of the pivotal presences for the early days of the franchise. Although many of Stacy's story details have already been appropriated for Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane, Howard promises that distinctive aspects of the character remains. She also says that she feels no pressure taking on the iconic role.

"Not a pressure, but a responsibility and a joyful responsibility," she says. "It was so great for me to go through all of the comic books and read everything and brainstorm with everyone like, 'OK. How can we bring this woman to life in a way that will both be surprising and appropriate and will fulfill people's expectations.'"

Time for my first post. Yay.

Anyway, I think Kirsten Dunst makes a great MJ in terms of looks, but ever since Spider-Man 2 I just felt something about her portrayal of the character was off. Never really figuered out what, but it's something in the acting that conflicts with the character, to me at least.

And Bryce Dallas Howard makes an amazing Gwen. Wouldn't have thought it at first, but after seeing the trailer and production photos I'm convinced.

yeah and I remember reading a recent raimi interview where he said (this was just after number 2) that he didnt think hed have the energy to do more than three.

I personally dont understand why people want a fourth....how can you top GG2,sandman,gwen and venom...I really dont think well see anymore spidey for a while, or at least anything that resembles the current incarnation....
