Being a smart ass. There was nothing about her besides her name and her hair that made her Gwen. Biggest raping of a character I have ever seen.

So, there was something so obviously out of place that Gwen did in this movie that her comic book version wouldn't. Please, do tell.

Perhaps I am alone in this, but as I saw Gwen on the screen, and how her voice was. I kept thinking how much better of a Mary Jane she would have been. A powerful vixen MJ like i remember from the toon, not some whiny bland red head. Anyone else think that?

Also seeing Topher as Eddie Brock was awesome. I originally thought he would make an awesome Pete/Spidey

Exactly, and she is naturally a red head too. they swapped the characters if anything. MJ was never anything like Dunst plays her. And Gwen could have been any girl in this film. There was no reason to name her Gwen.

You never figured this wasn't the end of her character? That like Dr.Conners she will be explored more in future films.

As for this film she served her purpose. And she did it all without betraying source material of that character. I'm sure her role will be bigger in future films.

I´m not saying that MJ (Dunst) is Fugly, she is very beautiful, but in SM3 she didn´t look as great as she looks in other movies

Gwen out of character? I don't think so...this was the Gwen that was a beauty queen in high school and the girl all the guys wanted to date in college, before she got turned into the reserved, "I always need my daddy's shoulder to cry on" character.

And hey, I'm not going to get lost in semantics...Bryce, Kirsten, Elizabeth...they're all attractive. If that's "typical Parker luck," give me some glasses and a ticket to Forest Hills pronto!

Kristen Dunst isn't ugly so I don't know what people are talking about. Now, as MJ though, she is not hot enough. MJ is beyond hot. Too hot for a science nerd like Peter Parker to end up with. When I see Toby and Kristen on screen I don't say, "OMG she is hot! What is she doing with a dork like him?" I'm thinking, "You know, they look like a really cute average couple."
