With Ward potentially being HYDRA, there's a real chance for a shake-up to the crew of the Bus next season.

Simple question then - pick 5 of the above for who you want to be the new team next season

I'm wondering what if it turns out Nash is the Clairvoyant and is controlling Ward as his inside man maybe along with Garrett who he'll eventually use to replace Deathlok when he's freed by the actions of Coulson's team once they realise Nash played them?

Oh boy what if they don't find out he's controlling Ward?!

I don't think it's Nash either.
I think Arnim is at the top of Hydra, not Controlling it all but one of the higher Heads of Hydra

I think Ward will be gone for most of the season but will return, but, I agree, I think Triplett will replace him (in and odd way he reminds me of Sam Wilson)

Plot Points:
-Ward is gone to HYDRA
-Simmons is also revealed to be HYDRA in the last two episodes of the season. This would explain a stronger reason for her to be so obsessed with finding out the story behind GH-325.

*(Fitz would be another interesting choice, in place of Simmons on my list. Weapons development is big with HYDRA. If he was HYDRA, he would have gotten very upset over the encrypted line May had. He could have convinced Simmons it would be smart to work on the GH-325, set up the encrypted line to keep in touch so he could report to his HYDRA officers.)

-Maria Hill joins as a contact, keeping Coulson's team in contact with the old SHIELD team, through Stark Industries. (Also, I would have Stark Industries supplying the capital for the remaining SHIELD factions, i.e. Hill, Coulson, Rodgers, etc.)


**New Member Ideas:
-Clay Quartermain - Agent that escaped SHIELD after the HYDRA incident and was found by Coulson. Would add more action, espionage concepts to the show, which many fans have asked for, loudly.
-Abigail Brand - Basically the same idea behind justifying Quartermain.
-Jimmy Woo - Ditto
-Jack Truman - Another SHIELD agent, would also add a potential new "victim" of the Deathlok Program down the road if, let's say Mike breaks hold or dies, leading to an upgraded, more deadly Deathlok.
-Wendell Vaughn - They've added the cosmic stuff to the universe BIG TIME. They could justify getting away with Vaughn eventually becoming Quasar down the road.
-Tony Masters - Veteran agent, could lead to becoming Taskmaster and another villain for the show down the road.

-Dr. Streiten - Ron Glass is a Whedon fanboy favorite, could replace Simmons as the medical support on the bus.

*If Fitz is HYDRA instead of Simmons, they wouldn't need Dr. Streiten. And with Stark Industries funding them, they wouldn't need a weapons developer on board.

-Clint Barton - Hear me out... If, and this is a BIG if, Jeremy Renner isn't happy with Hawkeye the second time around, recast and add a big name to the series. Granted, this wouldn't happen until a possible Season 3.

I'm thinking Stark will step in and fund everything becoming the de-facto Director of Operations. He's seen how important SHIELD can be.

May: She is great, I really enjoy her as a character.
Hill: Now that Cobie has time it makes too much sense
Fitz: Didn't like him at first but he's grown on me
Skye: I know a lot of people don't like her but I do. She's the only one on the Bus who hasn't been in SHIELD practically her whole life.
Coulson: Obvious
Other: Nick Fury (I can dream)

Would love Blake and Hill to become regular or have bigger recurring roles at least too

I find it sad how many people want to break up Fitz-Simmons. . .

The biggest reasons for me are:

1. It would tear the team apart and cause a LOT of drama going forward
2. It would further push the ideal that you can't trust ANYONE in the world of espionage
3. HYDRA is a science-central organization and they are both exceptionally smart, young minds
4. It would had a stronger, deeper reason for them focusing so hard on the GH-325.

While Ward being HYDRA was a surprise, Garrett really wasn't. The only team members that would have been more surprising and have a stronger emotional toll, on the team members, the audience and the show as a whole, would be Fitz or Simmons (one, not both).
