One thing that truly made the movie better for me was Clark/Superman's funeral. There's a lot more there that hit me.

I legit teared up when I saw Father Leone from MoS was giving the service. So sad. The funeral stuff I definitely better done.

I don't know if the film is more enjoyable, but it's definitely more intelligible.

Clark calling his mom was nice too.

"...Hi.."
:ilv: Maybe it's just me but that was a great moment.

I honestly did enjoy the movie much more this time around, specially the first half or, should I say..everyhting before the BvS fight, to me even the TC was coherent and easy to follow after said fight, it was everything before it which was a mess. The UC fixed that all right for me and I followed through the story and actually enjoyed it a lot! I already got my Best Buy Batman Steelbook pre-ordered btw :) .

Hmm. Hearing good things about the Ultimate Cut. I still haven't watched the movie, at all. But, I'm thinking I might pre-order the Ultimate cut for the nifty looking steelbook at BestBuy.

I wonder if it'd be better to watch the theatrical first and then the ultimate cut, or the other way around? Curious about how one might affect my first viewing experience. But, I think I'll be getting that Ultimate Cut one way or another.

Probably best to just watch the UC first, as that's the intended version from Snyder apparently.

That's a nice succinct way of putting it.

Oh crud no spoiler tags in here for those waiting out the bluray release.

At this point, from the sound of it, probably best to just not watch the TC at all.

I know a few people who have yet to see the film, and I've advised them all to skip the TC and go w/ the UC instead. You'll definitely feel those extra 30 minutes, but it's time well spent.

I'd recommend to go directly to the UC as it was the intended way by Snyder to tell the story; don't need to put yourself through the disjoynted mess that is the TC. That way, wether you end up liking the movie or not will depend more on your views on the story and characterizations.

^ Moreover, there's really nothing in the film that warrants a hard-R rating. The carnivorous bat dream might be a little disturbing for some kids, but that's already included w/ the TC. So, yeah, just go straight for the UC.

There was maybe a tiny bit more blood, some Affleck-butt, and some Cavill-abs. I actually figured we'd see a bit more of Lois in the tub considering the "R" rating, but this wasn't what I'd call "R" at all...

I mean, if Titanic could get a PG-13 rating, then I just don't get how it's possible for BvS EC to be R.

Wally says the F word as well. And the Death of Superman is more graphic.

Quick question, how have you guys seen the extended cut? Thanks!

For me personally, I loved BvS. But the UC is a superior version of the film.

You can find it if you know where to look or who to ask. We just aren't aloud to disclose that, even via PMs, here.

The one I found, sadly, cuts off right before the dirt starts to rise on Clark's coffin, but I have a feeling that's exactly the same as in the TC, so I doubt anything was missed.

I'm aware of the "unconventional " methods, just wasn't sure if that's what was used in this case. Thanks for the help (and you're a wonderful person, matt47, don't let anyone tell you otherwise ;) )

Man, the UC strengthens all the key areas of the film. Lois as the investigative reporter. Lex as the manipulative string puller. Clark unwilling to let his Batman story go. It's great stuff, and THE version of the film as far as I am concerned.

Because it is.

I wanted to wait for the day it drops digitally but I was too curious. I wanted to know if the Ultimate Cut was better and It is. I didn't hate the the theatrical cut this one is just better.
