There's a lot of good stuff in the BvS Ultimate Edition, making it a more cohesive film overall and clearing up a few subplots.

The crowd reacted at all the right moments, clapped at the end. It was nice to see it with strangers who understood what Snyder was doing.

Warner Brothers f***** up not releasing the full Batman v Superman movie. Like honestly Ultimate Edition is so much better.

Just finished seeing Batman v Superman ultimate edition. It was cool. Didn't need to be rated r.[/QUOTE]

Its happening... Its being rediscovered.

I'll have more complete thoughts after a couple more days of mulling it over, but I'm confident in at least repeating how badly the TC butchered bits and pieces throughout that didn't do Terrio's script justice. And I gave the TC solid marks.

This isn't going to be a complete revamp a la Kingdom of Heaven, but another multi-edition Ridley film is apt here in Blade Runner. The two cuts aren't completely different films, but certain subplots are fleshed out and reinterpreted enough to paint a clearer and better picture.

This isn't going to change the dialog outside of fandom. Damage is done. But I'm convinced more than ever Zack was pushed to make this cut. Not even Watchmen was stripped down this much. The changes are too overwhelming to be standard editing room fare.

Whoa!

Where did this come from?

I think the film was indeed heavily screwed by the cuts. If the studio had wanted a shorter film, the cutting should've been done during the pre-production stage to develop a simpler story that didn't need three hours to be fleshed out.

I really would like to hear Schnepp's comments, especially since he didn't like the TC, but when he heard, up to including recently, the scenes added back in the UC, he really wanted to see it. So I want to hear his thoughts, even though there is a sense of fear as well.

Seriously, the Ultimate Cut is as good as Snyder's WATCHMEN.

Not sure things will change for Schnepp.

He hates Lex Luthor in this movie so there's no fixing that.

He also hates that the movie movie isn't fun.

He rated the movie about a 6.5, but absolutely hates on it.

Its just not what he'd hoped they do with these characters.

Ok first let me get this out of the way I've seen the TC multiple times in IMAX (including 70mm Lincoln sq & Dolby Atmos. But nothing compares to watching it 2nite at the Dolby cinema AMC prime in NYC .. holy *****t felt like subs were in my seat ,great experience. Overall it's a better movie I already liked the movie but so much is fleshed out like understand y they wanted to cut down the time but y at the expense of the film.. all the added scenes added soooo much .. the build up is so much better in this cut, like it was good in the TC but here they go all the way.. Tone is the same w/ a little more jokes from Perry n Alfred .. my score improves from 8.5 to 8.8 -9.0 .. if u just don't like the tone of the film then it's not gonna change maybe slightly, but if u thought it was ok or loved the movie this cut is for you.. great experience can't wait till July 19 no digital copy for me on blu ray..

How do we know WB aren't paying you? :o

So how long until amazon updates it so I can watch the film?

Having that dilemma, too, but going digital for 4K tomorrow and picking up the 3D later in July. Going to tap into some Dolby Vision goodness tomorrow night!

There's digital streaming then there's the Ultra HD 4K and 3D Blu-Rays (3D doesn't come in 4K). With a longer wait release date for the blu-rays, it really tests the patience (and budget!)

is it in the BvS movie??? or it is from the WW new movie???

People in WW forum are saying it looks like it is earlier tests for the BvS movie- the tiara and makeup are different. But they toned it down for the movie and didn't use the cloak. In her solo movie she uses a black coat.

I did and it was great.
you are so lucky? how did you get the ticket? you were invited???
was the cinema full? good reaction for the audiences? how? tell me everything! lol

it's a war!!! lol
you are right btw. let's just stick to what we love... BvS... :)

You might want to check with a Mod to see if that's appropriate for the site. IIRC, the s-bomb is censored, and isn't supposed to be circumvented in pic form. I could be wrong about that, though.

Every new still photo or vid that I see of SS's Joker makes the situation worse.

With the exception of Wonder Woman, these all look pretty sweet.

They sent emails out last week if u went to the screening , plus if u had the DC all access app u could have signed up there.. free screening ! It's was great seeing it on the big screen again.. they gave out free bvs pins, supes bats we disguises, n if u saw it at a Dolby cinema AMC prime u got a Dolby USB flash drive .. theater was about 85% full , great reaction ppl laughed at new jokes.. clapped at the end.. walking out ppl were asking us was bvs back in theaters n which cut was better

How are people watching the special features? I heard it was on VUDU but didn't see them.

Man, just so much goodness.

The UC is an amazing movie, and I agree it's as good as the Watchmen UC.

Alot of us compared what we're getting/what we got with the UC to Watchmen's director's and ultimate cuts. But recently, some people compared BvS UC with Blade Runner and its Final Cut.

Normally I would list a number of director's cuts to prove my "BvS UC is better than TC" point, but I forgot about Blade Runner, as much as I found that interesting.

You've got me so excited to watch the UC. I know you and I both really enjoyed the TC and didn't hate this film as most did so, now I'm ready for the UC experience. I love the Watchmen Directors cut. I'm so excited!

Watchmen's DC I refer to as fan service, only because the added material didn't do much to affect the presentation or story. If someone had only watched the TC, I don't know if I could recommend they have to see the longer cut.

Blade Runner is the closest comparison because of how key moments are recut or inserted (in contrast to the director's intent). Whereas the Blade Runner TC spoonfed audiences and diluted the material, the BvS TC left out spoonfuls altogether and deprived the viewer of a richer meal. Nothing humongous in and of itself, but the small cuts add up to a huge chunk when looked at as a whole.

It's truly a shame this wasn't the final cut. I wouldn't go as far to say this would've been a undisputed runaway hit critically/financially, but the DCEU's future and surrounding scuttlebutt would've been far brighter.

I'll only be watching the UC from now on.
