Despite the discussion going on in the news and speculation thread, I just thought the teaser will deserve its own thread.

10-second teaser:

ET extended sneak peek:

Here it is!!!

The trailer will be available in 10 minutes. :cap:

How would you rate it between 1 and 10?

Also what are your favorite parts?

Looks better Thor 2 but nothing spectacular. That typical Marvel if you know what I mean.

The trailer was fantastic. Probably the best trailer I've seen since the Avengers trailers.

Based on what I wanted in a Cap trailer I'm giving this a 9. As much as I dug the First Avenger I didn't think this would look as good as it does. Very awesome trailer.

I think it looks pretty sweet, for a teaser trailer. Made me want to see more, but it definitely didn't give much away. I was expecting a little more action, but I really like the action they did include. Every scene with the Winter Soldier was exciting. I love the knife fight between him and Steve as well as the last clip with WS catching the shield.

I definitely noticed them working the Redford factor. They featured him a lot more than I expected, at the expense of Black Widow and Falcon, but that's fine--it gets me even more excited about his role in the movie. And it almost makes me not miss Stanley Tucci or Tommy Lee Jones...almost.

Gotta say my eyes rolled at the exploding/crashing Helicarrier CGI cluster*** at the end of the trailer--at this point isn't it kind of cliche?

Easy 10 for me. Looks so much better than the first movie. Right now my favorite part is the elevator scene where cap stomps and flips up his shield.

It's more a 9.5 but voted a 10 because I round up, as only the generic rock music brings it down a bit. It showed more than enough to satisfy me while also not spoiling every plotline.

That was just joyful. Brought a lot of action, as well as looming conflict. Cap having questions about SHIELD's methods is something you'd expect. I was hoping for some expository on how his principles are geared more toward ideals than merely following orders. Good stuff.

But for the first teaser trailer, it pretty much set out the tone of the film. We probably shouldn't expect too much of the plot to be explained.

10.

Whatevs, man, I yelped, I showed my 19 month old the trailer, and he made the sign for more.

Epicness all around.

In the comics, Helicarriers were always getting sabotaged and destroyed so it makes sense here. Plus, these don't look like full-sized ones, maybe like dropship types to respond to smaller threats.

There's an old proverb I just invented… "One can never have too many Helicarriers blowing the F up!"

I would really love it if Falcon was responsible for all the Helicarrier damage.

Dude is such a badass.

I'm not really blown away, but it's not bad either. I give it a solid seven. All the WS stuff looks great.

10. WOW. So many money shots, so many powerful Cap-in-a-dilemma moments. Pitch perfect. The final shot of Bucky catching the shield was awesome!

I could see him doing it, but I have a feeling that either BW (to escape SHIELD pursuit) or WS (to get targets after being ordered by Redford's Pierce) sabotaged it.

I guess I meant cliche as in big huge set pieces falling/crashing/exploding at the end of trailers to blockbuster action movies right before the end logo.

I meant to say I was hoping for that expository to be present as a device in the film. I thought it was hinted at just fine. A little too short with the wording on my part.
