Are all of these different versions going to be in the film? i wonder.

So is it pretty much a foregone conclusion that hammer is going to be control the hammer drone, or does it have that name becuz its the most common generic variety

It looks like the Tactical Assault Drone and the Sea Assault Drone are in this pic

And the Air Assault Drone is the one that Iron Man punches in the trailer

I wonder. Maybe the Hammer drone is remote controlled by Justin Hammer.
He's not in the suit but still controlling it.

That's what I've been saying. Otherwise they wouldn't be called Drones.

I'm thinking the Hammer model could actually be Vanko. It seems to look more like an armor (note the eyes).

That's what I was also noticing, it has eyes while the rest don't. hmmm

That's what I'm thinking. Or its a prototype that comes before the different variants pop up.

I don't think its an upgrades Whiplash because of the lack of whips. I fully expect Vanko to become CD by the end of the film, but also think the whips will still be apart of the suit.

To tell you the truth. I doubt Whiplash will have a final battle with Iron Man in this film. I think he'll develop in another film. The team formation of Justin & Ivan could be explained as this:

Ivan can create the same power source, that Iron Man has. Justin bails Ivan out of jail after he attacks Tony. Justin uses Ivan to create the drones with that power source. Tony then creates a different power source, which is the triangular arc reactor.

Now maybe, just maybe, Whiplash will come after all the drones are taken care of. Though I think that'll be too much to tell you the truth. I hope they don't overdue the action in this film. From the action sequences we already know of, would be enough to tell you the truth.

Do you really think Tony will create a "triangular" arc reactor? Maybe that's just the shape of the suit.

Too much action? The first movie didn't have enough action. This is Iron Man we're talking about here, IM2 needs to definitely have more action, specifically more action shots with Tony in full armor.

It's silly to think that Vanko's final suit will show up in another movie. That would be lame, and guaranteed there would be a fan backlash. Favreau heavily implied that we will see Vanko in a different suit in the movie.

With that said, everything can easily fit into IM2 if they make it longer than the first one. Iron Man to be honest was too short of a movie. IM2 needs to be at least 2.5 hours long.

Yeah no kidding, I love the first one, but the action was severely lacking.

I don't see why. It easily has as much as either of the first 2 Spidey flicks. I've timed them all. I have a theory that it's more along the lines of the action in IM1 being of the quality that keeps you wanting more without overstaying it's welcome(an old showbiz rule).

Yeah I guess that could be it. Before Iron Man, in all honesty, I never paid attention to how much action a movie had.

My remote operator theory is looking better and better.

Numbers..... Streangth in numbers.

But ultimatly I think it's a good theory that WHiplash will upgrade with some kind of drone armor.
SURE, IVAN WILL!

2) THAT IS HIS NEW ARMOR/DRONE, WHATEVER:

^That could be it unpainted(the toy version). If he does use an armor, it should be crimson.

I agree. There's no way that Favearu will save Vanko for another sequel, and extremely likely that he will become CD at the end of the movie. Since they will need a villain who could stand against not only IM but also WM, CD is the most probable choice. Also, I think Favearu purposedly left CD out so he can preserve the surprise ending, because those drones don't look like they would be the ending of the movie.

I agree, there's no way Hammer busts Vanko out of jail, has a meeting with him telling him he needs his resources only to have Vanko stand around and maybe control the drones from far away.

No, Vanko is getting an upgrade.

I think Whiplash will get an upgrade as well, more or less of what picture 2 is showing(but with different color, and added whips of course), but picture 1 doesn't prove anything. He's working on a drone, as there's a scene with rows of that same looking drone. I think that's the Army version.

Wonder if we'll get something regarding General Ross. Maybe something like these drones are meant to go after Hulk, but after they go haywire, they can't, thus meaning that S.H.I.E.L.D. and Stark Enterprises has to help out.
