The manga Spidey is just hilarious. The close up on his face, and then the body shake, I'm sorry, makes me crack up every time.
GRIP!

this one in mini marvels also ? or is this another series ?
No, this is from the sad reality we call home. You take one of the few Marvel characters that is cool...and make him so ******ed he'd embarrass the Transformers!

^ That Doom one is funny. Damn, imagine that. An origin completely thrown out the window.

And damn, Thanos was one clumsy sumb**** with that cosmic cube. You'd think it really was a wet melting ice cube the way it squirted outta his hand.
No, a cosmic cube will do that to you. One time, when I was helping Dave move, we had a whole box of them ****s, and it fell open and they all spilled out on the driveway. It was so damn hard pickin' em all up. I don't even know why he had 'em. Said he got 'em in the mail one time, as like a free gift from JC Penney for being a faithful customer or something.

Wow. :(:down

And why does the sound effect say "DOOM"?
Really obvious foreshadowing? Did those guys end up getting DOOMed later in the story or something?

Nothing more shameful in Batman's history. Except this:

There are many things infiniately more shameful. Really, that isn't very shameful at all. He got punched. So what? He gets punched all the time. It's not like he lost a fight. He was talking to Hal, was not expecting a fight at all, and Hal punched him. That's not a big deal.

I shouldn't have opened that can of worms. I don't want to rehash this conversation anymore than anyone else. Suffice it to say, I felt it was bad fanservice writing. Batman is always alert, especially around people he considers enemies, which it's fair to say he considered Hal.

Okay, here's the thing: Batman is a human being. He can't always be alert. He's allowed to be caught of gaurd at least once, especially in a situation where he wasn't expecting a fight.

He was being an ******* to Hal, but I don't think he was actually expecting him to punch him. Besides, Hal was in the military. Meaning, he was taught how to fight. It's not that crazy for Hal to punch him like that.

Not crazy for Hal to impetuously lash out like that, no. It's pretty f'n weird that a master of martial arts can't read Hal's tells.

No, it's not. Batman is a great fighter, but he's not a god. It's okay for him to get caught off gaurd like that. Especially since it wasn't an actual fight. It was one punch. Bruce gets punched all the time. He just usually recovers quickly enough to continue fighting. Since it wasn't a fight, it was what it was: A single punch.

2. Spider-Man: Quality of Life 4-issue mini-series - The Lizard gets shot in the arm, bleeds green blood, gets almost strangled to death by a newbie villain....oh, and did I mention he's naked and looks like a puppetoon character?

That may be the worst art I've ever seen.

This cover to Amazing Spiderman #534 did not reflect well on the web-slinger and represented what was for a while everything we hated about his storyline, (at that point at least,) in Civil War. Here we have Spiderman fighting Captain America on behalf of a fascist law, wearing that friggin' suit Tony gave him on whose behalf he has sworn a blood oath of loyalty to. Not a great day for Spidey fans I must say..thank god for Amazing Spiderman #535.
