I watched and enjoyed. It was a little shakey but he pulled it out cause Chris Tucker isn't best interviewee in the world. So hopefully he'll get back in the groove. As far as Jay Leno goes, I believe this is why Arsenio came back. Since Jay is leaving, Arsenio, once being a regular on the Tonight Show, figure if I can get my viewers back and a portion of Jay's maybe this will work out. He knows that Jay's audience is different from Fallon's audience--and we know Jay's cool w/ it cause he doesn't really want the Tonight Show to succeed or be as successful after him.
That's an interesting point. I don't think Jay's "red state" audience is going to go to Arsenio, but he might get a big piece of the middle America mainstream audience that just wants a regular talkshow, without Fallon's Gen-Y antics, Conan's hipster irony or Letterman's crankiness. Might be interesting to see what happens with Kimmel's and Arsenio's ratings when that changing of the guard takes place.
