Due to recent news involving X, formerly Twitter and its owner, the staff of SuperHeroHype have decided it would be best to no longer allow links on the board. Starting January 31st, users will no longer be able to post direct links to X on this site, however screenshots will still be allowed as long as they follow Hype rules and guidelines. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I found Amazing Spider-Man to be incredibly flawed, but the one great element that seemed to stick out was the chemistry between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. It might be the genre's best since Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher on TV's Lois & Clark. Did anyone else find their chemistry and romance to be very convincing? I've read rumors that Garfield and Stone are dating in real life. Watching the movie, it definitely felt true. But this all leads to one big question: how will the death of Gwen Stacy, if it happens, hurt the new trilogy? It will be very difficult for Garfield to duplicate this chemistry with another actress. I feel bad for whoever gets cast as MJ in the sequels.
It worked in spades. Their chemistry is there, no doubt. One of the best parts of the movie.
Rachel's death in TDK did nothing for most. Why? Because they didn't find the relationship and/or chemistry successful (recasting didn't help either). If Gwen dies, it will be a VERY strong moment because of what TASM has achieved and what potentially TASM2 will have built up to the point of her death.
Besides, if they keep Webb I have no doubt he'll be able to bring another successful relationship on the screen.
I really found Rachel's death heart wrenching and shocking, am I really in the minority on this oneI mean, almost everyone here loves TDK

I felt it more for Bruce and Dent rather than Rachel herself. It was the effect her death had on them that worked emotionally for me.
I think it will be really powerful when (or rather if) they kill Gwen and Peter is holding her dead body and they flash to captain stacy and the promise that Peter made him. Oof! That will hit like a ton of bricks.
I was actually also thinking that myself![]()
