Now that it's been announced that TDK is returning to Chicago, is it worth the time/money to drive there during the shoot? For those of you who know alot about locations... How close can I get? Is EVERYTHING blocked off? Is it IMPOSSIBLE to see anything?

I was thinking about having a massive SHH group gathering in Chicago, to live the experience of the filming as a united group of Batman-Fans. Anyone who wishes to go, can go... I figured since the shoot starts in early 2007, it gives us a couple of months to plan the trip and where to meet, etc.

Now personally, I'm from Cleveland, so this will be quite a road trip... but I think it will be worth it if I can see something.

Is anyone interested?

If I lived close by, I would go.

I think it is a great idea for those whom live within a decent driving distance.

The drive is over a 15 hour trip for me; so you can count me out.

But good luck.

i live in chicago but more than likely won't have the time to see anything.......................... like last time. :(

I live in Chicago too so I am probably going to go over and watch them film a few times. I also have some friends that work in the movie business here in Chicago and they are going to try and get some jobs for the film (small jobs like PAs and whatnot) and if they get a job then i'll definately meet them there.

Dont forget to take a camera

I live about 2 and a half hours away in Sterling, so it wouldnt be that hard for me to go to the city. I used to go there once a month. The only problem would be knowing where filming is taking place, otherwise id just be aimlessly roaming chicago looking for somthing bat-like. But i'd have to bring some kill weed with me and have a blast if I actually saw somthin like maybe a tumbler chase or somthin. I would **** my pants if they do decide to modify the vehicle and I saw it before alot of people.

I live in Michigan and I'll be there for it - especially if they need extras.

Unless you know exactly where they are filming and at what times, its not worth wandering around aimlessly.

i live in griffith, indiana (its like 20 minutes from the city) do u know if/when they will cast extras? if u do please tell me. and ill go up there wit my digital camera and get some shots for my friends at the shh boards

I live in Michigan, and have a cousin who lives in Chicago. If there's an extras call like there was for Begins, I'll strongly consider going.

I'm in Milwaukee . . . only like 2 hours from Chi . . . I missed the extra casting opportunity last time :(

I never went there for the first one, but I did see some stuff a couple of times while on the el train. I actually had no idea they were filming BB until teh one time I saw teh Tumbler on the back of a truck.

As for seeing stuff, I am pretty sure you can if you are down on the street since there were reports and whatnot. Although, you might want more than just my opinion if you are actually going to travel here for it. :yay:

i live about 1/2 hour away... i know ill be try to be a stand in somewhere :woot:

For those who are going to try and be extras in the film, I work for a talent agency. I plan on keeping a lookout with our Casting Managers to see if/when they will be hiring for the job. If they actually contact my company, I'll post the info here so people can try to apply.

It'd be awesome if all the extras on the film were either board members or comic book fans.

good ups, yeah i live in minnesota, I am a big twins fan (Twins v Sox), and have some friends that live down in Chicago that i go see a couple times a year, so I do have some "excusses" to go down. I was just wondering if you indeed could see some stuff.

We should totally both go. Then we can actually hang out.

I'm moving to Chicago next summer so I'll definitely be there for the shoot (I'll also be traveling there for January/spring).

SUIT ME UP, UNCLE ALFRED!

I met Bale, Oldman, Nolan, and countless others during filming. Saw that jump Bruce takes in the prototype suit off a building. Saw them filming the final scene, and the scene where Bats is on the rooftop with the cape billowing. And I also saw the tumbler go buck wild, in real life. It is definetely worth your time.
