Theres a lot of frustrated people on the boards . But heres my thinking; if people aren't thrilled with the way WB is going about its advertising than lets do some of our own . Make some posters or banners or whatever and put 'em up all over town. Yeh, thats the ticket..................or its incredibly lame. Either way.

Thanks for the education, stop being so condescending. The 3 great teasers there correspond with some actual visuals rather than a logo teaser, its hardly greedy to want a bit of footage, it doesn't have to be anything to do with an action setpiece, just a quiet build

F**k! You know, this is beginning to suck. Okay, no TDK panel at SDCC. So, let's wait for Wizard World, right?

Then we get news about the TDK teaser being with The Simpsons Movie but, honestly, the description sucks. A "light show" with the Batman logo, oh, how exciting. The Batman Begins teaser was better, at least there was some footage. Honestly, 30 secs. of Bruce Wayne sitting in his penthouse, making a drink would've been more exciting. But, oookay... Thanks anyway, WB...

And now news that TDK won't be at WW in Chicago --- NOW THAT SUCKS! Paramount and Marvel are doing such great stuff to promote Iron Man and what does WB do? Pretty much... nothing!

I do happen to agree. But I wouldn't say the teaser was so bad, just wasn't great. However if WB was upset with the bad marketing for BB they sure are not doing a good job at getting the advertising out for TDK. What are they waiting for, its not that early.

The programming for the Wizard World Chicago convention has been released... and its not looking fantastic.

There is NO TDK panel listed. However here are the DC panels where there could conceivably be something if the issues are worked out: (remember the previous BB footage was unannounced). One panel on Sunday afternoon mentions the Dark Knight, but not it doesn't say there will be cast or clips or anything.

Friday
11am - 12pm: DC Comics and Mattel presentation. Mattel does Batman toys, obviously.
2pm - 3pm: DC Nation Panel. I don't know, this is typically a big panel for them to plug their comics, but it could be something.
Saturday
10am - 10:45: DC Comics Talent Search. There is also one on Friday. They could conceivably cancel one and give the room to TDK.
11am - 12pm: DCU New World Orders. A big comic panel that TDK could maybe piggyback on.
6-7pm: What is Zuda... a DC panel about their new online service. I somehow doubt they'd want to get rid of this one.
Sunday
12:30 - 1:30: Wizard Mega Movie Panel about Sin City 2, Watchmen, 30 Days of Night, and it specifically mentions The Dark Knight (though incorrectly calls it The Dark Knight Returns).
That panel is held by "Wizard experts" and doesn't promise anything at all. So it looks like those are our possibilities, folks.

Have a normal commercial playing then have it "interrupted" during the broadcast by the Joker (dont even have to show his face, just a shadowy sillouette and him talking), then after the dialouge we hear his laugh. Then the release date of the movie afterwards.

so anyway . . . I don't know why there are so many people jumping on WB's back right away . . . according to Jett in this article, it was a problem that Wizard had w/ WB and DC . . .

now this is farfetched but maybe they wanted to go so far w/ the viral marketing strategy as to pull some kind of stunt; like the lights going off and some dude dressed like Joker running around causing "mayhem" . . . just to be more effective . . . and maybe WW wasn't going for that kind of thing . . .

or MAYBE, just MAYBE they're still going to pull some shyt like this w/ everyone thinking nothing's going to happen (but pry not)

Where be that at? The WB booth? So far when I've stopped by it's all 300 and today there was a huge line for the free Popeye hats.

I saw a TDK postcard on preview night but I didn't pick one up because I assumed there would be more later. I haven't seen one since. I also saw a TDK logo poster up on one of the gaming booths, and there's a big Lego Batman there too.

But yeah, we'll see tomorrow if WB shows us something. I'm planning to go early to save myself (and HOPEfully my friends who are gonna wait in the badge line), a good seat for the WB panel.
