how do you know "he wouldnt do something like that", you dont know him, none of us do. we dont know what these people are really like. it may have been he snapped at his family after the stress of doing interview after interview been asked the same mundane questions, and hid demeanour in interviews ive seen suggests its not his favourite thing to do. peopel like eckhart and nolan are much more engaging and warm with interviewers. im sure the facts will come to light shortly. the fact he voluntarily submitted himself to police suggests something though...

I know I don't know him, but I just don't think he seems like that kind of person. That's what I meant to say in the first place. If he did, then he'll have to face the consequences. If he didn't, it was just blown out of porportion. I don't know, I just don't think he seems like that kind of guy. That's all.

i cant help but notice the irony in all this. so much talk of ledger been pushed to the edge by playing the joker (nonsense), and now it could be argued that the aggression and anger bale had to draw upon to play bats might have got the better of him.

I agree people shouldn't make excuses for him. That being said, this all seems a bit strange. Keep in mind, that there has been no mention of Bale hitting anyone. Only that there was an "incident". The MSNBC report says that the Mother and Sister "Complained" about some issue. Bale could very well be guilty and that would be unfortunate. Keep in mind though that he is, like every other person on this planet, human. That's not an excuse, it's a fact that people have flaws and faults. Even the best of us can falter. This is a guy that doesn't like attention and he's smack in the middle of the biggest film event of the year and perhaps the decade. I'm not condoning whatever it is he may have done, but don't condemn the guy outright.

That being said, I find it odd that this happens now. Reserve judgment until we know exactly what happened.

We should probably wait for more information before passing judgement, but if police didn't arrest him right away it means it probably wasn't serious. But I'm sure Bale had done something against his mom and sister that aggrevated them in some way.
