The song is from the cartoon, in the cartoon Frosty goes to help Santa Claus....so maybe the song doesn't mention Christmas, but it goes with Christmas none the less....

While a cartoon is based on the song and the song is now associated with the cartoon that vaguely deals with Christmas... the song actually predates the cartoon. The song was written in 1950.
