I hadn’t seen this since it came out way back in 2012 ish or so.

Haunting as ever. Mads is an easy Oscar nom if released today. One of the best flicks ever.

Dredd

This keeps aging like a fine wine!

I’m saddened we never got more. Olivia Thirlby Looks so damn good here and she should be a bigger name by now. Great soundtrack!

That's in our criminal justice section.

Mickey 17

Eh, no regrets for not seeing this in the theater. I liked it more for that reason. Pattinson’s voice annoyed me at first, but then it grew on me. Ruffalo feels like he walked from ‘Poor Things’ on to this, exquisite ham performance. This was more enjoyable than Bono Joon Ho last English flick. Anamaria Vartolomei is captivating. I like me a beautiful gaptooth! Naomi Ackie is sexy as hell.

Anyone else surprised we didn't get a Like Mike spiritual sequel called Like LeBron. :o

Sinners

Gotta say, the previews and the commercials might as well be an hr long now. Sweet Lawd. We got two things for the accountant. Eye rolling.

I haven’t seen anything else since that trailer gave away a lot of stuff, so I haven’t read up on interviews etc, but this is arguably influenced by From Dusk Till Dawn, it has to be. Now! Having said that, Coogler makes it his own, a real southern gothic flick, haunting blues and all. MBJ is so effortlessly smooth. I’m glad I went to the movies for this one, not a lot of those for me in recent times, but this is one of em’.

8/10

Would you consider this Oscar worthy for MBJ, Coogler and or Lindo?

Gotta say! Seeing Ben Affleck play an autistic man is kinda funny to see. I like the story of the first flick enough, but he seems a bit miscast then and now. Ben did no research, he just went in. Lawd. I will eventually see that one with cheap beer by my side and from my couch.

I'll have to rewatch 101 Dalmatians to understand why Cruella chose specifically those puppies to make a coat and not use adult Dalmatians. 🤔
