Great !!!!!!!!!!!!! If it's Empire I'll be able to get it !:trans: :trans: :trans:

"Chechen" is a generic name for the boss of the Chechen (Czech) gang. He's played by Richie Coster. The gang
confronts Scarecrow near the beginning of the film about the drugs they bought from him containing his fear toxin. The meeting is broken up by Vigilante fake Batmen, causing the Chechens to release their attack dogs on them. The real Batman comes in rescues the fake Batmen and captures Scarecrow.

Erm, actually I think you'll find a 'Chechen' is somebody from Chechnya. Which is in Russia (or isn't, depending on whose side you're on!). They are not from the Czech Republic, which is in central Europe.

If there's one man in here I trust with the geography of foreign nations, it's Jack Bauer!

Just bought the latest Empire issue (golden compass on the cover) no mention of TDK, I guess you're talking about the next one.

Well I guess that means its all about December...December December December!!!

Though it will suck to see Crane die if that is true, as long as he sprays some one with some toxin and we get to see the beautiful smile of the Joker under the fear gas, I will be very happy.

Agreed. And I hope there's even more tripping-of-balls in the subsequent film(s).

i can't wait for this scene as described....gonna be awesome

oh man, that was a cool interview. really spoilerish though. he said he wasnt supposed to give away how he does him in, yet he tells us that twoface shoots him. ummm wtf? anyway, glad to here that twoface WILL be in the film.

He doesn't say that Two-Face shoots him. Two-Face shoots Maroni's driver. Two-Face kills him "somehow" a short time after that.

emadz89, you like bumping these old threads dont you? haha

And I can't wait to see Two-Face either.

Can you talk about your role in The Dark Knight? Is it true you're going to portray boss Salvatore Maroni?
Yes, I'm portraying Salvatore Maroni, but director Christopher Nolan chose not to stay entirely true to the comic book version of Maroni.

Did you know Sal Maroni was portrayed by Dennis Paladino in Batman Forever?
I didn't watch Dennis with that in mind, but now I will, so I can see the differences! I only saw BATMAN FOREVER when it first came out...

Did you read any Batman comics before filming? Are you a Batman fan?
I am a moderate BATMAN fan, and a moderate reader of comics.
I really liked Michael Keaton in the Batman role. I liked his dry humor and how tormented he seemed.

How did your casting happen? Did you contact the casting director of the movie, or did he contact you?
The casting director of the movie was in contact with ICM, my agency. I'm not sure which one of them initiated the call, but I had to meet with and audition for the director. Plus we showed them film from Heroes and other movies of mine, especially ones where I played Italian-American Mafia guys.

When did you film your scenes?
We shot between May and October, 2007 in Chicago and the UK.

How is director Christopher Nolan on set?
Chris was communicative and empathetic, but also very much a leader.

And have you seen any scenes from the movie yet?

Have not seen any scenes. I felt we were doing some interesting stuff.

What do you think about Heath Ledger's role, the Joker?
It's pretty brave to take on "The Joker" after Jack Nicholson. Heath was super.

What about your next projects? Are you going to appear in some new movies?
I've just appeared in Hollywood Dreams with Keaton Simons, and I'll be in Witless protection with Larry The Cable Guy.

Wow. What a waste of an interview opportunity with stupid questions.

Like:

Way to bring up a 15 second non-speaking role!
(or more like 2-3 seconds according to the responses)

lol. Every interview with anyone turns into a Joker discussion.. :p
