seriously, I had no idea 'Maroni' was in Batman Forever

In both the interviews with Eric Roberts that I have read, he has come across as really arrogant, almost as if he wasn't happy to work on the film.

Schumacher got that right... but not the film iteslf...

He's in that lame scene where Batman jumps out of the jury pool to try and save Harvey. (Who, BTW, protected the right side of his face from the acid with a manila folder. That's right. A manila folder prevented half his face from melting off! :whatever:)

It wasn't really a scene in the movie, per se. It was just playing in the background as "news footage."

Yeah what a dbag, "Michael Keaton was my fav Batman" basically. Way to diss ur own movie ur in. IDK though, everyone has there off days. He's a bad guy in the movie anyways, so it works

Basically the interviewer's question was about as relevant as asking the puppeteers and CGI animators that have worked on Jabba the Hut since Return of the Jedi to compare their portrayal to the fat guy that played Jabba in the deleted scene from the original Star Wars.

Wow. What a....bland interview .

Appreciate the intention of the original poster though .

brilliant comparison:applaud

Not faithful to the comics? What ever does he mean?!

Oh by no means are any of us attacking him, just the interview. I'm actually quite happy not to see the The Junior Thread Gestapo in here crying about someone starting a thread.

If he means that he's not claiming lines from Godfather and Goodfellas as his own like Loeb did in TLH, then I can deal with that.

Thanks. I for sure thought everyone would have jumped on the first response he gave saying that Nolan took a different approach to the character. :cwink:

It's just one of those interviews that leaves you thinking, "Um. Cool?"

Unimaginative questions, with dull answers.

yo what the heck.....another new thread? what's up with you people and your threads?

just kidding =P
I wish the interviewer had asked better questions....i liked the other interview that was posted a while ago that featured roberts....it gave us a bit more detail. lol and why does the interviewer even bother mentioning maroni from batman forever.......

oh yeah!! in the Harvey Dent flashback . . . yeah, a goddam paper folder is gonna hold off that acid

anyway, Roberts is pretty much kind of a jackass for the record . . . . Heath was 'super' . . . . hahaha, no wonder they didn't show him any of the film's scenes . . . . plus he'd pry give everything away like last time . . .

Wow. What a waste of an interview opportunity with stupid questions.

Like:

Way to bring up a 15 second non-speaking role!
(or more like 2-3 seconds according to the responses)

They're probably just upset about how he spilled the beans in that other interview. Looking forward to that Larry the Cable Guy movie...:whatever:

Yes, I'm portraying Salvatore Maroni, but director Christopher Nolan chose not to stay entirely true to the comic book version of Maroni.

OK, now that I don't have that pesky thing called work distracting me, I'll give my reaction to this comment.

While a mob boss on trial sitting on the courtroom stand throwing lethal acid in the face of the prosecutor may work in comics - the same scene may come off as a little ******ed in the current Batman movie world. That's where I think Nolan has deviated from the source material.
