In both the interviews with Eric Roberts that I have read, he has come across as really arrogant, almost as if he wasn't happy to work on the film.

He's in that lame scene where Batman jumps out of the jury pool to try and save Harvey. (Who, BTW, protected the right side of his face from the acid with a manila folder. That's right. A manila folder prevented half his face from melting off! )

It wasn't really a scene in the movie, per se. It was just playing in the background as "news footage."

Basically the interviewer's question was about as relevant as asking the puppeteers and CGI animators that have worked on Jabba the Hut since Return of the Jedi to compare their portrayal to the fat guy that played Jabba in the deleted scene from the original Star Wars.

I wish the interviewer had asked better questions....i liked the other interview that was posted a while ago that featured roberts....it gave us a bit more detail. lol and why does the interviewer even bother mentioning maroni from batman forever.......

Yes, I'm portraying Salvatore Maroni, but director Christopher Nolan chose not to stay entirely true to the comic book version of Maroni.

OK, now that I don't have that pesky thing called work distracting me, I'll give my reaction to this comment.

While a mob boss on trial sitting on the courtroom stand throwing lethal acid in the face of the prosecutor may work in comics - the same scene may come off as a little ******ed in the current Batman movie world. That's where I think Nolan has deviated from the source material.
