The Create-A-Hero RPG Season III OOC Thread - Part 1

That would definitely be a good idea for a large Star Wars game.

You're right - it's fantastic for large-scale sci-fi games. I'm setting up a forum like that for sci-fi RPG even as we speak. I've GMd a lot of games, and I think for sci-fi, having a whole forum is the best way to do it. There are folders for planets of note, technology of note, a character roster, important histories, an In-Game thread and an OOC/ applications thread.

The histories and informational threads are set up so only the admins can post and edit, which means that the admins have to really keep on top of things and make sure all the folders stay updated and organized. But I love that format for any large scale RPG with lots of little details that need to be understood to write well in the game.

Just edited my last post - added speech color and changed the last line. I wasn't happy with it.

Still not thrilled, but it'll do.

So is anyone open to RPing with Noah? I'm one post away from the end of his intro arc (short, yeah, but I'm not a huge fan of solo RPing) and I'd like to interact with some other heroes/villains/what have you.

Wasn't able to add anything today; life and the computer interfered.

Had to pick someone up at the airport and I'm back on the Eee PC.

Which means two things:
1. Expect many "missed key" typoes (in fact I had to re-type that twice...)
2. I spent the night with a clean-up program trying in vain to get it up to speed, uninstalled Explorer and picked up Avast! and Chrome.

So if nothing else, the suicidal/homicidal tendencies that Explorer brings out in myself (and everyone else unfortunate enough to be stuck with it...) should be a thing of the past.

So hopefully I will get back into it tomorrow night. I did keep on top of the IC thread though while burning the interminable minutes of scans and downloads.

Tomorrow we believe, but not today. And this is what shall bring the Dies Irae.

Alright, no more "constraints" on entering the kitchen. Did what I wanted to do without interruption.

That's sick!

Now no one can eat on that table ever again!

Hey guys, I'm gonna be leaving tomorrow for a week and I'm not sure what my access is going to be like.

I kinda wrote Icon and Anderson out, but if Icon is needed Erin will be bunnying him.

If I'm able to post on my trip I will, but as I said, I'm not sure what my access will be like. If I'm not able to post, I probably won't be back until sometime on Sunday the 23rd or Monday the 24th.

Does that make us netbook twins? Because I'm not sure I'm okay with that.

Considering the lack of responsiveness in the keyboard I don't know that I'm OK with it...

How old is your Eee PC? Mine is fairly new (I think I got it about a year and a half ago).I want to know what I have to look forward to.

Probably not the best example, it was someone else's before hand... There's a ot of their stuff on it, there's probably more I could clean off it with time as well.

The keyboard on it has been poor in terms of reponse since I got it.

gain, not the best examle.

I'm really not happy with the way I ended the whole Tartarus thing. But to be honest, I've struggled to finish the damn origin for Cerberus for too long at this point and just had to power through it.

I hope I bring some better story telling to the table with my next few stories.

I've just gone on MSN messenger because I figure Skype's too big to run comfortably on this machine.

Received a private message asking if I'd jump on Skype, but I figured I may as well respond here for all to see.

hi folks newbie here playig swarm posted in the ic boards some comments and interaction would be appreciated .

It might be an idea to copy/paste your sample post into your first IC thread post, since it appears to follow on.

If it's not in the IC thread it's not in continuity yet. That player application is more a guideline to:

1) see how much thought a player has given their character before just throwing the game doors open and letting everyone flood in and complicate continuity before blowing out never to be seen again.
2) Give other players an idea about what they'l be dealing with when interacting with your character.
3) Discerning how valuable a concept a prospective concept may be (for example, if someone came in and had basically an identical character to Icon or Archangel or another existing character GM's might be loathe to ave more of the same just waltz in (that said CaH is far more open to anything than other games based on established universes, since GMs also become wary about how well in application meshes with existing characters that certain characters would interact with - for example, if Spider-Man is an established character, GMs would consider how well applications for Venom would mesh with continuity).

So yeah, add your sample post to your first post would be my first suggestion, but I've gone on long enough...

Im not exactly happy with that fight.

But **** it. It was a pain in my ass.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around much - I've been waiting to hear from another player (who seems to have disappeared), and I've been dealing with some ridiculous bureaucratic stress IRL. I'm going to try to get something up soon, but don't kill me if it's not great.

I will try and get a post up tonight, we'll see if I can manage it

hey guys, sorry for the lack of posting. It's been crazy since I got back from vacation. I'll have a post up by the weekend.
