I was wondering if James O'Barr plans to make the next Crow movie? If so, when will it comes out?

The Crow: Wicked Prayer was so such flop! Worst movie ever. It should not be exist!

O'Barr has nothing to do with the movies, other than getting a nice royalty check from them...no thanks on another one though...

It's run it's course, the goth kids have turned it lame and it's not fun anymore. When it was just a comic that was pretty harsh it was awesome, now every time some kid painted up like a jerk when it's not Halloween and pretending to have malaise I get angry.

I only know 3 Crow movies. The original with Brandon Lee, a second one with Vincent Perez, a third one with Eric Mabius. What was the fourth?

A piece of crap with Edward Furlong. I enjoyed 1-3, this one sucked.

Sweet. Exactly same opinion as mine. :woot:

I wish they never ever choose moron Edward Furlong. He sucked as the Crow. What a joke.

I was hoping they would just do a straight to DVD movie finishing up the STH tv series letting him find his way to Shelly. Other than that, no more Crow movies needed.

I actually really liked the short lived TV show. It was a different take on the material and done really well with the micro-budget provided.

They want to make a female crow movie............apparently was supposed to have a DMX as the crow movie too.......good thing Brandon isnt araound to see this.

There was a female crow story in the comics. I think they killed her and she came back to get revenge for her child though she didnt even know she was pregnant. Seriously though, the revenge angle in the crow has been done to death, leave the property alone for a couple years.

I really hope the let this series die, the first one was the only good one. In the last one the guy puts on the crow "make-up" with a magic marker?!?!

please, just don't make any more of these. only the first was good.

eminem and dmx were considered to be rival rappers ad one would be gunned down , and return for revenge. eminem said he almost went for this .

the first crow is the only one i count , i think salvation had potential and a good enough story but should of had a bigger budget and better direction.

wicked prayer was embarassing to watch , i hope they reinvigorate the movies one day with a good cast , director , etc. if not then they should leave it alone

I enjoyed Mark Dacascos' The Crow: Highway to Heaven TV series. Pretty good.

Too bad, they didn't make season 2. Oh well.

Ya, believed her name was Iris in the comics, and she was pregnant when the building she was in blew up. I guess Im in the minority I would love to see another Crow movie. I think with the right director and writer it could be decent maybe done aka Kill Bill style.
I only liked the first two overall, but the original crow was/is a classic comic movie. Imo its one of the best comic movies outthere,it may not of gotten the big blockbuster status, but it was very well done.

The best thing that happened to The Crow franchise after the first film was Stairway to Heaven. It was a great show. Shame it got canceled.

I don't think the Crow is a played out idea or genre. Revenge works. It's all a matter of approach.

Most of the Crow sequels were so forgettable and minor that a vast majority of people haven't seen them or perhaps even know they exist.

So, with the right director, cast, script, star, yadda, yadda, yadda, it could work. I think a Crow film with a female star would work. I still think a Crow film with a hip-hop theme would work as well.

Just imagine... "Omarion is...The Crow!" Or if they wanted to be more serious about it, Nick Cannon. Just joking, but I still think a hip hop Crow movie could work.

The reason why revenge themed movies suck so much is because the path to bad cinema is the shortest from revenge. I mean, 99% of the 80s and 90s action flicks revolved around revenge - "You killed my son/girlfriend/mum/dad/friend/country/dog/favorite tv show! Have death!"

He doesn't even get that. I've met him numerous times as local conventions the last few years, and each time we've spoken about his original work, the films, etc. Apparently, James gave away all his profits from the first film to charities, because he was so tore up over Brandon's death. As for the sequels, he got on-screen credit, but that's it. Miramax and Fallen Bird Productions failed to pay him any royalties on the film property for years, and in the end, it took him hiring a lawyer to get any money out of them at all. These days, he works as a so-called "starving artist", going from one convention to another, selling his original works and doing custom pieces. He also still owns the rights to a fraction of "Crow" memorabilia, so he sells that stuff as well. His next apearance will be at Wizard World Texas 2007, November 16-18th, at the Arlington Convention Center.

Sure as hell worked for KILL BILL!!!

I disagree. Revenge is a powerful motivator and if done right can definitely drive a movie, as a previous poster pointed out in referencing Kill Bill. I think it all boils down to making each story gripping and different, and each lead character's quest for revenge unique.

Plus the Crow, like Highlander, has the ability to use a variety of time periods in which to play in.

I didn't disagree with what you said DarKush :)

I just pointed out the obvious. I didn't say revenge wouldn't be a great motivator, just that it's the most mistreated.

I'll say it again, revenge is played out and the Crow is an entire series based upon revenge.
