The Crow 5?

"The Crow: Wicked Prayer", starring edward Furlong in the lead, was a direct-to-video 2006 release, costarring Tara Reid and David Boreanaz in a tale of a ressurected ex-con/mechanic (Furlong) against a gang of devil-worshipping bikers. I never saw it (thank God!), and James hated the very idea of it (to the best of my knowledge). When the creator of the original comic thinks it sucks, you have a serious problem...

Thanks for the info:yay: . Direct to video? Bad, just bad...:down

The first was, is and always will be the best. Period.

The second was actually pretty good. Worth buying.

The third was descent. Although it didn't feel like is was related to the first two, but still good though.

The TV show was good. Mark Dacascos rocked as Eric Draven. Felt like a re-telling of the first movie. I'm gonna buy the DVD.

The fourth was a big f@t joke. If you want bad acting, bad story and lame characters, the fourth one is just for you.

I agree with what you said. Anyway, I didn't see the last one and after all these reviews I don't think I will.

I enjoyed the second. However, I hope one day that the PPV cut gets an official DVD release. I've never seen it.

All I gotta say is, this movie was so bad Tara Reid was the hot chick in there. Tara Reid dammit!

Agreed; it really set a high mark for films of its kind.

With all due respect, I disagree. "City of Angels" only had one good story element, and that was the relationship between Ashe and his son, Danny. The witchcraft and mysticsm was way out of line (I don't even like Myca's role in the original), and "Wicked Prayer" took it even further. I spoke to James once about CoA, and he said, "They barely listened to me on the first film, and completely ignored me on the second".

It's an inherently smaller story, and rightfully so. My main beefs with "Salvation" were the excessive blood and nudity, especially in the "Key Club" scenes and the flashbacks with Jodi-Lyn O'Keefe. I spoke to James about this at the same time as our CoA discussion, and while he liked Eric Mabius' performance very much, he felt the storyline was still "a little off".

I only saw a few episodes, but from what remember, it was cool. Kinda sucked they never finished it. Katie Stuart, who plays Sarah in the series, had a minor role as Kitty in the Mansion siege during "X2".

I'm avoiding it primarily because of the satanic angle. I don't appreciate films or TV shows that embrace that sort of thing (that's why I bailed on both Buffy & Angel afeter the first couple of years; it got way too dark for me).

I think Wicked Prayer is worth seeing in an MST3k way...David Boreanaz's overacting and obvious not giving a s**t alone is one of the funniest things I've ever seen...it's like he's playing the character Angellus from Buffy again, but 100x more arch...and Dennis Hopper as a jive talking satanic preacher...it's just so bad that it's hillarious.

Think the budget of Wicked Prayers was like 49.95 + tax. I can't think which movie was worst: Wicked Prayers or House of the Dead....

House of the Dead was worse, it's not even worth mocking.

Plus the Crow, like Highlander, has the ability to use a variety of time periods in which to play in.

Unfortunetly, The Crow is also like Highlander in the fact that, just when you think the last awful sequel killed the series, another one is announced.

HAHA:woot: Forgive me for laughing when it's actually so true, but you put it so funny:woot: And still, how bad is this? They see it's not working anymore, but still do it.

dont do it , its too painful to see the crow like this.

I won't. I like to spare myself from experiences like these.

Well, I personally think it's a sad thing to see how a good idea gets waisted like this...

they need to stop making th crow movies.. i loved the first one... the second one was ok... but now they are killing it!!!
