Drama The Crown (Netflix, series concluded)

I'm not sure how much Debicki says "Diana", but I can't really think of anyone else who'd be better offhand either. My biggest hangup with Debicki is onscreen she always looks like she's about seven feet tall.

She's going to need a basketball player for Prince Charles. Maybe he'll play that instead of polo as a modern twist.

A hell of a growth spurt for Princess Diana as the actress playing her in S4 is 5’8.

How tall was the actor playing Charles?

It's going to be really difficult making Debicki seem shorter than Charles. They can't have any long distance shots and even in closeups he's going to have to stand on a stool. But even if a short person stands on a stool, they don't look taller than a really tall person. Their proportions look different and it looks like they're standing on something.

She gives off more of a Diana vibe to me than anyone else I can think of right now.

Diana was an inch taller than Charles in real life I believe (without heels).

Was she always that way? Even when she was 20 during their wedding? She seemed shorter then, and also less of a mesomorph. She also had a better hairstyle then, then later on when it was overly permed.

I wonder if they'll be able to get Diana's hairstyle right. No-one seems to be able to manage it these days. Naomi Watts had a perm but didn't look at all like Diana but more like a young Teresa May.

She's always been tall. It might look different in different pictures. Maybe she seemed shorter to you due to being quieter when she was new to being a royal.

Wait Diana is still in season 6? Wow, they will stretch that story a lot, I guess. As long as they have enough material im fine.

Im sure they will make a lady di death episode, so they enter 1997. But do they go to 2002 too? Margaret and Queen Mum dies in 30 days. Could be a really sad closure of the series.

How many steps was Charles standing on for this classic picture of them?

And was she seated here or squatting, or Prince Charles was on stilts?

With Debicki in the role, the height difference between her and Prince Charles would be the other way round to these pictures?

None of those pics are showing up for me. Prince Charles is about 5'9 and Princess Diana 5'10 so they're very similar in height. Height doesn't really change once you've reached your adult height until you start getting elderly and gradually lose an inch or 2 over time.

I doubt they’d do her death since The Queen basically covered all that from the same creator Peter Morgan. Maybe right up to her death.

Oh my gosh I am gagging for this it looks so good. I love period shows that just revel in the fashion of the era.

it’s so weird to think one day they’ll be making period films about our era

The dress from Diana is ON POINT. Cant wait for an amazing 4rd season. Olivia Colman has to slay this! :)

I'm just waiting for the crowning moment(no pun intended) when Elizabeth Debicki takes over.

Fantastic trailer, looking very promising in terms of acting. If you dont know the history, here is the spoiler
I wonder if they show the bomb attack to Mountbatten (Charles Dance). Would be a cool episode, but I guess they already had enough material and we just see the funeral.

That’s... quite a bit more sex appeal than one would expect from Charles.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too. I guess they’ll give him giant Galadriel ears to sex him down a bit
