The Curse of Chucky

I think my problem with Chucky is he just looks so clean and new. Somehow he doesn't look right.

I'm sure he'll be all tore up again by the end of the film.

A lot of crazy theories going around about this film and why Chucky may look different to some people........

I'm reading online that Chucky's look starts changing into the people he's killing. That last shot of the woman looking frightened and sticking her finger in his mouth is the clearest example. If you look closely, both the woman and Chucky have the same look on their face and Chucky has eye makeup and lipstick that resembles the woman's.

Perhaps this is his "curse" in the film and the new reason he has to get the **** out of that body?? MAYBE he also suffers the same injuries as his victims and that might example why he gets all cut up and scarred in the film? Like he bites off that woman's finger and so he looses his finger.......

Essential, Chucky is a living breathing Voodoo Doll but his own murderous actions are backfiring on him so he needs to get the hell out of that body.

I have to reiterate this spoiler! They just released a 2nd trailer and I think that spoiler might actually be correct........look at one of the death scenes in the new trailer and you'll see the girl
who gets electrocuted has the same eye damage that Chucky has.
.

Still surprised they didn't attempt to get this into theaters.

I'm glad to know that if they wanted to, it would have looked great on the big screen and that it doesn't come away as cheap looking.

I've never been a Child's Play fan, but this movie has me pretty excited.

glad to hear its getting good reviews and news of a credits stinger gives me hope of tiff

Been creeping on the IMDB message forums, read at your own risk:

-Chucky slowly starts going back to his "stitched-up look" as the movie progresses. No explaination why.

-Andy's mom and Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon) make an appearance in a flash back sequence

-Tiffany (in human form) makes an appearance

-Chucky becomes human at the end and meets a grown-up Andy Barkley running a gun store (he reaches for the gun when he realizes it's chucky) before the credits roll

Whether or not those are true (the poster claims he was at the early screening but nobody believes him) it could be pretty kick-ass.

As much as I love Child's Play I really hate the name Chucky. Don't even know why.

Interesting if true but a little contradictory

the whole becoming stitched and a human tiff means the rumours of it being between 3 and bride are true

But the becoming human and the grown andy really throw a whole spanner in that idea and go the complete reboot way.

I guess it IS a sequel to "Seed" since Chucky mentions Glen briefly too. I'm not exactly sure about the details but apparently the beginning of this one is very similar to the intro to "Childs Play 3" on how Chucky is "reborn." Almost like they recycled the footage LOL but I dunno. As we know in the originals, Chucky starts becoming "human" in the doll and the doll changes as the movie progresses, well it happens here too but he changes into his stitched-up look from "Bride." He said they never explain why he slowly reverts back to his "Bride" look. But he does successfully pull off the soul transfer chant at the end and becomes human before encountering Andy. This movie ties into the originals in a lot of ways and leaves it open for a sequel as well. I wanna see this, like NOW.

So I found some photos online, claiming to confirm a spoiler as well as showing a look for Chucky we haven't seen in any of the trailers. Not sure if they are technically screencaps or bootleg pics so I won't post the link but I'll welcome PMS.

Im a big Chucky fan but I wasnt expecting this kind of praise (although it is very early). People are comparing the style to Hitchcock? :awesome:

Wow, this looks like the most praise I've ever seen for a Chucky movie.
