The CW Passes on Aquaman

I just don't think we've seen the last of Aquaman. I think that CW might actually be thinking of "let's hold this off until after Smallville". Which as I said, seems to be coming to an end this season- unfortunately. I mean, one year isn't that long of a period. Ving Rhames already probably already had a booked schedule because he's in films, the show probably just sparked his interest because it seemed to have a really great script. Lots of action, suspense, comedy.

Also, show a trailer- AFTER the report that CW "passed" on Aquaman? I just don't see the logic in that unless, there's still a chance for it.

I thought the trailer was captivating in all the right ways, with the exception of the lead. From the little they showed on the trailer, I'm not impressed with the guy's acting, nor do I find him appealing to the eye. But I realize the appealing part is subjective.

To me, as a guy viewer, 'looks' mean nothing. It's does this guy carry the part off- and he reminded me of an "everday guy" who definitely can pull off the role of Aquaman.

yeah I thought Hartley seemed OK in the limited footage we saw of him. I'd like to see the actual entire episode to be able to judge him.

That effect of him swimming at super speed looked pretty bad ass

Whoa. They're using Batman Begins score.
Just like Vendetta and Kong.

And that sounds a heck of a lot like Annette O'Toole narrating, huh?

LOL i couldn't stop laughing at that part with the batman begins score came up

The buzz this trailer is already getting, only being up for a little bit today, might get around and a 'test screening' or something of the like. Or a leaked Pilot. SOMETHING might happen. Not officially "over", I mean- if 7th Heaven drops, probably will (because wasn't it ratings that killed it? Wouldn't the ratings kill it again?), Aquaman has a STRONG chance of being a mid-season run.

It was the cost of making 7th Heaven that killed it, not the ratings.

technically it was a bit of both. It's an expensive show to produce with a big ensemble cast that's shot in the U.S. However, it's ratings werent bad, they jus werent the "right kind" of ratings, in the big money demos and you dont exactly rake in big cash in ad sales on Monday Nights unless you're the NFL. I'm not sure what's changed since then? Maybe the new CW Prez was a big fan?

You can tell her she's a dope here, if you want:

perhaps, I'd love to see like USA Network or Sci Fi pick it up....

Has the pilot script leaked online?

Dang, the trailer was more than o.k...

Im surprised they arent even gonna give it a chance.
I woulda watched it.

I liked the trailer too...

Maybe someone will pick it up.

Was anyone able to save it? I didn't get to see it and now I'm sad.:(

Me too. Someone help a brother out. :(

The trailer was awesome!! But when I tried watching it again just not even a minute later, it wouldn't work because someone took it off the server. I really wish they would've given this show a chance.

I really enjoyed the trailer.

But of course that's what a trailer is for, selling the show. So in that aspect it worked.

But who knows if the actual episode was any good...

I have a feeling the decision to drop it had a lot to do with their change of heart with 7th Heaven. They need numbers to bring in advertisers and 7th Heaven has the highest rating of all the shows on the new network.

If that had anything to do with them not picking up Aquaman then they are idiots

Agreed. The "Oops everybody has twins" finale had to have been the lamest thing I've ever heard of.

Another possibly reason: The new CW president hates anything sci-fi related. The only reason Smallville is probably carrying over is b/c of the ratings compared to everything else they have.

I think they should film another 40min. of footage and do a TV-movie of sorts as a "pilot", then if the rating were good, toss it a season order in 2007.

Good thing AgentPat told us about the Trailer when she did  I saved it asap & you know when I first heard about the Show I was expecting to HATE IT. But damn that Trailer sold me

Thank you sir.

HOLY ****!! That looked amazing!

Somebody better pick this up.
Indeed
Either we saw the only cool things in the show, (and the other 55 minutes are garbage), or someone is smoking 'da crack at the CW.
