The CW Passes on Aquaman

Correction, over 85,800 views on youtube. Holy crap. Thats what Im talkin about.

Does anybody know how to make online banner links? It would be great to make some linked tot he trailer that we could spread all over the internet. Speaking of banners, I thought of something like an hour ago. Those of us without fear, should make huge banners, physical material banners. Put something like "SAVE AQUAMAN!" on it with a link to a site with the trailer. And hang them wherever we can. Im just sayin its an idea.

**Over 89,350 views on youtube, think CW is paying attention?

I loved the preview i hope at the least they make a Mini series out of it

Cw friday night is soley dedicated to wrestling and Top Model re-runs on sunday. Come on you can make room for this show

I know ive been accused of trolling() but the thousands of views (which is surprising) is indicative of curiosity, not of actual support for the show.

Heres the thing, I think I should try to explain myself. Im a huge fan of Aquaman, im one of those guys who has hundreds of Aquaman comics stored up.I watch this trailer, its a well made trailer, interesting concept, looks pretty good BUT its not Aquaman. At least not the one ive grown to love. (By the way im a huge Superfriends fan). I think Aquaman deserves something better than some OC Teen drama, because hes never been that, ever. Oh well.

As a pilot teaser trailer thingy, I gave it some slack on the shakey performances. Im not liking how the actor playing aqua just phoning in a cliche "cocky badass han solo" performance. It looks fake and bad. But I'm sure that'd have been changed to something better for the actual show since Ive seen pilots before where the actors haven't really decided how to best play their character yet... you gotta admit the action and fx look good and the premise isnt too bad... and it'd be interesting to see aqua do some cool **** in live action. I'm tired of the teen drama bull**** formula too... but as a smallville fan, I can't say Im tired of young superheros doing cool **** and uncovering their roots... smallville but with bikinis and dolphins... sigh... I want this show back now....

And oh golly... there could have been a crossover episode...

Good points. But Aquaman has had some many different inturptitaion's that unlike Superman or Batman their isn't anything close to a derfinative account. So a new inturpiation for a new media and generation is in my eyes a good thing.

So......this show ends up preventing Aquaman from appearing in the last season of JLU and it's not even going to get made now?

That's just sad

You gotta ask yourself, how many people like Aquaman and read Aquaman comics?

I think you should be grateful actually if you like him so much. Nobody cared about Aquaman before, now he's starting to get some attention.

It may not be Aquaman to you, it could be Aquaman to other people though.

I cared. And so do other people. They care for the Aquaman they read in the comics not this "AC" guy being thrown around in these tv shows. I know theyre using the succesful Smallville formula but really Aquaman is more than that. Smallville makes sense because its somewhat relatable to the comics. Aquaman never has been shown like this. Aquaman should be getting attention, but the right kind.

Well if it wasn't for Al & Miles & SV's Aqua episode, and now this trailer, he would never have gotten any attention outside of the comics.

All we've seen was just a trailer for the pilot, you can't judge the series just from that.

Familiar much with Aquaman? The character is a "cocky bad ass."

Hartley's acting could've gone either way but if Craig says he nailed it I'm inclined to feel pretty optimistic that it was the right casting.

And I like his look way better than Toale.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquaman

In Adventure Comics #260 (May 1959) and subsequent Silver Age comics, it was revealed that Aquaman was Arthur Curry, the son of Tom Curry, a normal lighthouse keeper, and Atlanna, a water-breathing outcast from the lost, underwater city of Atlantis (a later version of the story named this underwater city as "Poseidonis," one of a number of underwater cities in the lost continent of Atlantis). Due to his heritage, Aquaman discovered as a youth that he possessed various superhuman abilities, including the powers of surviving underwater, communication with sea life, and tremendous swimming prowess. Eventually, Arthur decided to use his talents to become the defender of the Earth's oceans, first starting a career as "Aquaboy," eventually meeting Superboy (Earth's only other superpowered hero at the time) on one occasion. When Arthur grew up, he called himself "Aquaman."

I agree. The problem I have with what you posted is its like telling Catwoman fans that they at least got a Catwoman movie.

Darth, theres always the possibility, though unlikely, that Mercy Reef's 'AC' will be very different from the *****e in 'Aqua.'

Thats what Im hoping for if the show gets picked up.

As far as the teen soap stuff, I think it suits Orin alot more than the Superman mythos.....but I agree, it still is pretty lame.

Who knows? Its likely that they could still do an Aquaman movie someday that gets it right....despite this series about AC.

I agree, the trailer showed that the series has potential, its just not the direction I wouldve taken with the character.

Yeah ive read that Wikipedia entry too. Does it say he goes around calling himself "AC" and saying things like bro every other sentence?

That was just in the Smallville ep, silly ass. Richston was mediocre to say the least.

Hartley seems like he'd be bad ass.

Oh, and considering they live near the ocean and are all water rats I'd expect a little surfer lingo in there.
