.... that's one ****ed-up deer. :eek::up:

I'm reasonably pleased with the adult cast for this. Henry Ian Cusick, Paige Turco, Isaiah Washington. Well done, CW.

Main girl's acting seems a little iffy, as well as some of the others, but I'm sure she'll grow a little more comfortable in the role over time. Everything else looks pretty good.

This looks really good.

Comic-Con Preview: The 100 Are Humanity's Future
Be the first to see the new sci-fi series.
by Eric Goldman JULY 12, 2013

The 100 are coming to Comic-Con next week, as the pilot to the new CW series makes its debut, at a panel that includes cast members and producers from the series.

The 100 takes place 97 years after nuclear armageddon decimated Earth and left the planet unlivable. Only 4000 humans are left, living onboard a series of interlocked space stations referred to as the Ark. With dwindling resources, some horrifically strict laws have been put into place. Isaiah Washington plays the leader of the surviving humans, Chancellor Jaha, and explains, “Those who are naughty, they get executed. If they do things that will endanger the ship or hurt the remaining people on the Ark, I have to make some very tough decisions.”

The title of the series comes from the 100 juvenile delinquents –- in a world where it’s all too easy to be branded a criminal -- used as guinea pigs and sent to the surface of the Earth to see if the planet is livable again. As Washington puts it, “If they survive, they become heroes. If they don’t, we were going to execute them anyway.”

Establishing her importance among the 100 is Clarke, played by Australian actress Eliza Taylor. “My character, Clarke, is very headstrong. She’s a natural born leader. Her parents are doctors, so she has a real medical sense and she kind of take the lead in all the scenarios on Earth, where they need to find food and water.”

We also quickly get to know Octavia, played by Marie Avgeropoulos (Fringe, Cult) who notes her character’s crime was simply existing. “She was born kind of in blasphemy. You’re only allowed one child on the Ark and since I was the second, my mother was executed when I was discovered.”

The 100 panel will take place on Friday, July 19th at San Diego Comic-Con in Room 6BCF. The entire pilot will be shown and I’m happy to say I’ll be moderating the panel for the exciting series, which will include cast members Eliza Taylor, Thomas McDonell, Marie Avgeropoulos and Henry Ian Cusick and executive producers Matthew Miller (Chuck, Human Target) and Jason Rothenberg.

Cusick, known to Lost fans for his role as Desmond, plays another higher-up on the Ark. As Washington explained, “A lot of our dynamics are very interesting. A lot of power playing is going on. Henry’s character pretty much wants my position. I can’t tell you what the pilot is about, but it opens up pretty strong in terms of establishing who these characters are, what they’re about and what they want.”

As for the 100, down on Earth, the younger cast members were excited to play characters who have literally never seen the Earth before. “It’s so cool,” said Taylor. “It makes you look at the world in a way you never would have before. The places that we shot, the locations, look completely prehistoric and untouched. So it was really fascinating. It was very easy to see the world through those eyes when we were shooting in these incredible places, trudging through the forest, swinging over rivers.”

Premieres tonight at 9.

Think I'll give this a go. Got some freedom on Wednesdays now after The Tomorrow People moved and took the Monday slot from Almost Human.

They sure are playing The 100 commercials like ****ing nuts during Arrow

CW put A LOT of pennies into this show. They want it to be a hit though I will be surprised if it does above 2mill.

But thus far, I am really enjoying this.

I really enjoyed the pilot, didn't feel like you're usual CW show. Though I already dislike half the characters.

The night time forest scene was really well done, it felt Avatar like and was more magical than FTL in Once. Once needs to look at this forest setting and night time effects to spruce up all the time we spend in there.

I was a little disappointed that they didn't go through with killing off the youngest girl who decided to go for a swim but in the end I was fine with her survival though I think her injuries were laughable for being dragged around for a good minute and only coming out with a partially bloody leg bite.

Hope the ratings do the pilot justice (doubt it will giving CWs mid-season luck) and hopefully rest of the of the season is just as good and production values hold up.

I enjoyed more then the hunger games kind of a lot like hunger games . but I enjoyed the 100.

DEFINITELY this...

You make it sound like that's some uncommon thing on this network...

I enjoyed the pilot. The previews for the rest of the season looked even better. I definitely hope it performs well.

Nowadays it is. Arrow/TVD/Supernatural/Originals are the only ones hitting that number or above on a constant basis.

Yeah, my bad, it was a double negative thing. I meant it wouldn't be uncommon on this network if it didn't pull anything above 2 million. Shoot, The Originals and SPN sure didn't last night.

I liked the show it was a different premise and hopefully they stay away from shipper drama being it's prime source of storyline. As for the ratings hard to take a guess what it will do since it seems like sub 2M viewers has become the norm for most shows on the network. I am guessing it will get about 1.7-1.8M viewers and a 0.7-0,8 in the key demo. I know they replaying the pilot episode on Tuesday @ 8PM

The CW was pre-empted in Chicago but even with that the Originals wouldn't have gotten over 2M and SPN would have been borderline 2M viewers

It seems the kid at the end survives as his name is mentioned during the preview for the rest of the season. Enjoyed the pilot and will most likely watch this right through. Definitely interested to see what it is they're stuck in the jungle with, whether it's some form of human or monkey, or whatevs.

Reminds me of After Earth, The Tribe and Odyssey.

I also dislike half the cast already.

Is there only 12 Canadian actors in Vancouver Canada because I see the same actors filmed in almost every show shot in that city :funny:

Continuum, The 100, Man Of Steel, Smallville, Arrow, The Tomorrow People and a number of other shows all feature the same 10 or so actors in various roles.

Well, hot damn. It even built on it's lead-in.

The viewership is way beyond my expectations but I actually guessed the demo(0.9) right. Supernatural on Tuesday had like 700k less viewers but a 0.9 demo. Must have been alot of older and younger viewers(not in that 18-49 age range) watching
