The Dark Knight Action Figure SCOOP

Agreed. I wouldn't even pay thirty for one; maybe I would if the design was better. I might just save my money and buy the bust and statues I saw on DC Direct.

I had a difficult time paying $11 for the Joker I found, anymore and I would pass. By the way, my wife was back at that same Wal-Mart and said all MM Jokers are gone. Keep an eye on Sideshow. They will be releasing images of Hot Toys' version of TDK figures soon; they are sure to be better than DCD's.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. Yeah usually Sideshow has superior designs compared to a lot of other places.

I live in Mexico, and I only found those stupid Batman Begins recycled figures, you know, the colorful ones, and in a local store, not in wal-mart, and they told me next week the will have the joker and his goon, I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Those are nice!! Would love to see these in Holland. Not happeing though!

I finally found the masters version of Batman at Wal-mart, and picked that up. They also had the thug, but didn't get it.

I wish Mattel would simply focus on this for the series. Ditch the stupid mask/evidence crap and give them better, more accurate accessories like the DCU line. These aren't really in scale with DCU for anyone that was hoping they would be.

The basics for this series are downright terrible. Wish they were never made.

I'm hoping we will get movie accurate versions of Scarecrow, Two-Face, Begins Batman, and Ra's Al Ghul all for the masters line.

well TheVileOne MM joker has a knife but thats all. they should get weapons shouldn't they we'll have to wait and see

They could've given Bats a grappling line or something like Classic Bats from DCU. Joker could've also had his machine gun.

But I mean will this be it for the Movie Masters series, or will they do more? I'd simply like to see more movie accurate figures. From the first movie as well. Star Wars is able to get so many movie accurate figures. So is Indy. Iron Man. Why can't Batman?

...Indy's figures are all tiny and suck.

The basic Batman figures are tiny and suck MASSIVELY more than the Indy figures. The Indy figures don't have any ridiculous non-movie accessories or this stupid battle armor ****. That's my freaking point.

And why is it the movie masters come with these evidence bags with masks and what not? Batman uses gadgets in the movie. Joker uses guns. So umm . . . where are they?

While the Indy figures dont have armor variations, Indy has worn different clothes in the different movies. Batman has 2 suits. Which, to a kid, are both nearly identical. You seem to be forgetting the core audience for the basic figures are kids, who want the different variants. I had them from Batman 89-Forever when I was a kid, and I'm sure you probably did too.

And the Indy figures are terrible. There's no likeness to anyone except Shia's figure vaugley resembling him. If you were to put any of the Indy figures heads, minus the hat, on other figures, you wouldnt be able to tell it was supposed to be Harrison Ford. They suck.

The movie master figures are probably the best movie figures I've seen. The iron man ones have good articulation or whatever, I'm just not interested in it though. And that tony stark sculpt is TERRIBLE.

And I'm pretty sure that the dark knight's target audience isn't kids, like at all..whatsoever. The whole viral marketing thing is a clue to this, its mostly people who can get out and run around on their own, or hang out on the internet without getting yelled at to go to soccer practice.

Hopefully this is a more permanent shift between batman movies and merchandising being just kid stuff in the eyes of big business and the general public into understanding that it's for the adults. The comic books haven't been robin and batman being boy scouts together in a while and let's hope that we can finally bury that adam west show theme song every time anything about batman comes up in pop culture or the media.

Goodness whatever. That doesn't prevent these stupid variations from sucking massively.

The Indiana Jones figures no matter what you say are all movie accurate. There are no stupid, dumbass armor variations that have nothing at all to do with the movie.

I disagree. Some of the likenesses vary in quality, but they are not all that bad. The 12 inch ones are also very good.

Compared to The Dark Knight whose figures share no resemblance to anything in the movie at all especially the basic version of Joker which is absolutely atrocious and a total dispicable, disgusting disgrace to Heath Ledger.

I dont understand what your problem is with the basic line? Its directed at the kid market, not the older collectors. Theyve done these types of Batman figures, since i dont know, 1989! If you dont like the basics dont buy them, plain and simple. If you dont like the accessories that come with the MM's, dont buy them.

They are toys!!

Walked into TRUs this afternoon and found this:

Couldnt believe it, there were 2 of them and 6 of the regular versions. Guess the kiddies dont want Batman without his mask. They also had the 4 pack, all the basics, the MM's minus the chase and Joker, all the current oddball stuff and an electronic sword???

I only bought this because I was real short on cash, but they had lots so Ill be back for the regular and the 4 pack.

the likenesses do vary but those 12 inch indy figures are the worst bit of suck i have ever seen. looks nothing like anybody and those bodies they are using would have been outdated in 1981. :o

the 3 3/4 inch are passable. the raiders indy even comes with a fertility goddess giving birth. that must be a first for an action figure!

Hey, if the Indy figures are going to get bashed, I say ****ty Dark Knight basics and deluxe are fair game.

Im a deptartment manager at a regional grocery chain, Giant Eagle, we got 'em in. Kmart also has them, along with the other varietys. They all have the figures in them too.
