The Dark Knight Action Figure SCOOP

Remember, friends, those figures are made FOR CHILDREN, not for the action figures we want, that's why we have DC Direct or Takara :whatever:

Problem is DC Direct is mostly preposed garbage.

Thank goodness there is Mattel's DCUC.

True to your name sake.

I wish Mattel's DCUC didn't just use the same basic body for all the superheroes though. And DCUC can barely compete with the Toy Biz stuff

well I guess they answered my hopes of getting bale's likeness.

(OKAY before you guys complain let me say I think this looks better than the begins figures by far)

I think that looks alright, but what happened to the other shoulder pad?

^yeah, does it imply it is removable?
If so, that a nice move.

[/quote]Oh look, more of this crap again. Yeah, I'm sure he'll wear all these suits in the movie.

Just because he uses gadgets they always do this to Batman. They stick him in all these stupid and pathetic out fits.

Then they only make like one fig of the villian and a ton of this garbage! :cmad:

Can't they just make a Bat-costume like how it looks in the book! WTF!

I am so sick of this. They said it would be more like the comic, instead they do this crap! Idiots.

They haven't made a good looking Batman costume since Keaton's suit.

the figures look really weird because they kept his cowl black even if it doesn't match the weird armor they stuck him in...

i actually kinda like the oversized armor on the kids figs, i might get one so i can mod it :O

I think the neck is to make the head turn better or something. Some action figure's neck has funny looking neck so it can turn. At least that how I see it. :ikyn:

You would think Mattel would have learned seeing as how fast the Begins line flew off the shelves.

I wish we could see a Joker figure, that's all I really want out of this series.

well, toyfair is just around the corner, i have no doubt we will finally see the Joker figure there! i hope they make a 12 inch figure of Joker to go with the batman. i dont get why they always make a 12 inch batman but no 12 inch villian for him to fight. and in this case, its JOKER, they should defiently make him his own 12 inch figure.

I agree. I would love a deluxe Dark Knight Joker movie figure along the lines of the DC Direct figures. Although it is unsettling to want this in light of Ledger's death, my hope is this July we can enjoy the film on its merits and as a tribute.

yeah im not worried about owning a Joker figure, lol. its joker, not ledger.

They are going to release any and all Joker products. They have the license, and they will be making a majority of the money from their tenpole film from products w/ the Joker. It's the Joker figure, not Heath Ledger figure with bottle of Ambien pills. No need to be worried. Hell, Ledger is barely even recognizable as the Joker. I mean, it wasn't a type of Christian Benoit sick type of death where they'd be force to remove the item from shelves. Hell, they released a Marlon Brando figure and he's been dead for YEARS. Not to mention the amount of cash it took to get his licensed look. No need to worry, fellas. If Rubies is releasing a plethora of Joker costumes, you bet your ass Mattel is putting out their Joker stuff.

I have no hope for Joker's fig. I'm afraid it's going to be as bad as the Scarecrow's from BB.:whatever: :hoboj:

You have no hope for any Batman movies from Nolan anyway.

we appreciate your modesty but the nolan ass kissing has got to stop.

anyways, toyfair is gonna be from febuary 17-20. lets pray they show some joker related stuff and not just the crappy neon batmans.

Just as quickly as any other line ...

Nope, not in my area, and reports were pretty consistent around the country. The Begins toy line sat on the shelves. There was no problem at all finding any of them. Even the shorter pack figures became aoverly abundant once they hit the discount stores. Hell, there are even some remaining Begins figs at a local Family Dollar. Plus, at my local TRUs they still have afew of those black costumed Ducards hanging on the pegs with the Brando Superman figs. This line flopped big time, slower than any other line Ive seen in recent years.
