The Dark Knight Action Figure SCOOP

Hey guys... went to walmart about 7 am this morning before work and they had about 2 pegs of MM... about 8 begins suit batman and 1 scarecrow ( no fear toxin chase :( ). I picked up one batman and one scarecrow. Just letting you guys know that my walmart got the MM in on the unconfirmed release date of July 8th. As we know, some walmarts are getting new shipments, some aren't. Within the next two weeks, I think MM will be back in full force as I hope Mattel learned from their mistake. Hopefully it's not just my wishful thinking. The scarecrow and begins suit figures are both really nice, btw.

Happy hunting.

Where did you find yours? and has anybody had any luck finding wave 2 on the east coast?

You guys also have to take into consideration that (and this is coming from someone who worked for 2 WalMarts back in my early days) all WalMart toy department's are run by varrying degrees and stocked by managers and stockers who are many times COMPLETE morons. There are exceptions, but in travelling this country up and down and all around and hunting toys for years, I find that no two WalMarts within a 10 mile radius are ran the same.

Case in point... my experience last night. The unopened case that I found last night at the first WalMart I hit was actually sitting on a BACKSTOCK pallet that they were in the process of readying to be pulled back to the stockroom to be filed away in the department stock bins. In fact, that WalMart didn't even have a spot re-pegged for the MM's. Had I gotten there even 5-10 minutes later it may have been back in the stock room to sit for who knows how long. But the second WalMart that I hit already had all of the figures stocked out on proper pegs (neatly even). Granted there wasn't a Fear Toxin Batman in sight, but I imagine the department manager or stocker, having shown the respect to the section that it deserves, probably knew that this figure was shortpacked and either purchased them for themselves (a practice I saw MANY times over the years working at WalMart) or called a friend who came and swept them up (again... sadly regular practice in a lot of toy departments across the globe).

So as many have said, be patient. And don't be too shy to ask if they have any in the stockroom. If you find a WalMart that has a peg sticker for them, pull one and take it with you. You can use that sticker to have anyone with a talzon (scanner) check their stock. And if they have some and there is room to stock them, then there should be no reason for them not to do so. There is no street date on the boxes (I have one sitting right here next to me) and these SHOULD be out on shelves. If you get someone who does not want to help you, ask to speak to a manager and then calmly state your case to said manager. If they won't help you, ask for their corproate information and let them know that you plan on contacting their superiors as well as let Mattel know that their store is not properly stocking their merchandise. This may sound extreme, but in hearing everyone badmouthing Mattel I have heard very little badmouthing of the stores themselves who many times are more to blame for crap situations like the MM's than the distributors.

End rant. :)

Just as I suspected. Stopped by a Wally World today and unfortunately they had absolutely nothing. I was surprised to only see a couple of endcaps of Dark Knight stuff...

anyone preorder the 2pack MMs at TRU.com? i know the scarecrow/ batman begins pack was suppose to come out today.

well, southwestern indiana DID have MM wave 2....of course, all thats left is the BB batman, which i didn't even get because i was so pissed that all of the others were gone...my fault for not having the time to make more than one trip to wal-mart a day...so if anyone who is finding lots of these things could please, please pick me up a joker and scarecrow figure, i could pay immediately...i just dont have the time to deal with this...thanks, and better luck to everyone else!

I didn't even know there was a second line of MM figures. Who are the charcters in the line? Batman, Scarecrow, and Two-Face? I still can't find the Joker from the first line, so I won't hold my breath on the second line!

Thanks for the heads up. I just went to Wal Mart and found the joker from wave 1, scarecrow and Batman Begins batman!!! After I grabbed one of each, they only had one Batman Begins batman. I couldn't believe it. If anyone on these boards wants me to look at my local Wal Mart for them, send me a message. I'll gladly pick them up if they have them and mail them out.

I would love a begins batman, fear-toxin batman, scarecrow, wave 1 joker, any of these if you can find them. I can mail you a check next day to cover figure and shipping...

My wife will look for a Begins Batman today, so hopefully I'll get it. I want a Scarecrow the more and more I see it though.

Scarecrow is a very nice figure. He even seems able to be posed on a horse, which is what my brother and I are going to attempt this weekend. :)

cool except i dont have a horse but i will be happy with scarcrow who cares

Hey guys, and fellow bat-hypers! I need your help with something. I'm trying to make a list of MM2 sightings. Feel free to add towns and store locations so everybody here get get ahold of the MM's before the scalpers beat us to them. So far I heard that they've been see (and most definately bought) in:

TX
GA
CA
FL
MA
VA
TN

Add NH to that list. I just spoke with a member who saw close to twenty something figures in a local Wal-Mart.
