Anyone interested in actively finding more of these extra sites?

Okay, so far I have tried these sites:

jessicasfirstkiss.com
tragicpast.com

Both of them were dead links. However this--http://gothamcity.com--got me this strange picture. Might be nothing, but you never know.

Also, I'm not sure if this is real or if it's been discussed, but I found this:

http://www.myspace.com/ibelieveinharveydenttoo

Might be a fanboy exploiting the craze, can't figure out for sure. But, the writing styles are similar, so it's possible we might have a hidden Joker MySpace page on our hands.

So, anyone else been investigating?

Since the “other website ideas” thread has been closed, I’ll repeat myself here:

I think we are being set up for an Alternate Reality Game like the A.I tie-in from 2001.

In case you aren’t familiar with it, the theatrical trailer for the movie A.I. (a movie I am quite fond of, by the way…) had a credit for a “sentient machine therapist”. As there are no sentient machines that would require therapy (as of yet) curious observers decided to investigate. A Google search of her name opened up the beginning of a chain of interlinked websites ostensibly originating in the future in which the movie takes place. An online community called Cloudmakers banded together to solve the murder of someone called Evan Chan. The mystery unfolded through puzzles that one person would be incredibly unlikely to solve. An online collective, however…

The Cloudmakers received E-mail from characters in the game, spoke with characters on the phone, and participated in real-time, in-person meetings arranged by the puppetmasters. There are likely a few Cloudmakers among us who may be willing to share their experience. I was hardly computer savvy at the time, and regretfully, did not participate.

You can read about the game here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternate_reality_game#The_Beast

Are “ibelieveinharveydent.com” and “ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com” entry points into a game of this nature? Many of you have already responded to [email protected] and received the following message:

“People always ask me about my charming boyish smile. Jessica used to love it. She was the loneliest girl in high school, and my first big kiss...”

A message from the Joker, apparently. We’ve already been (ostensibly) interacting with one of the characters form The Dark Knight. With the release of the film a year away, it seems like this is only the beginning. Are there things we should be seeing that we’re not seeing? Have clues already been left that we should be acting on?

The Administrators left a plot summary in the source code of the teaser page, they must have left it there for us to find. What are we supposed to find now?

Tragic past? Jessica? First kiss? Shouldn’t it be “Rory’s first kiss”, and not the Joker’s first kiss? Is “Rory” a code name for the Joker? I sent a message to Rory@ ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com but it was undeliverable.

What I’m getting at, is that we will very likely have to look for those other websites.

If a game is afoot, all we know so far is that Harvey Dent is running for District attorney and a mysterious man is leaving a calling card (a Joker) in comic book stores with the words “I believe in Harvey Dent too” stamped on the card’s face. Presumably this is the same man who has set up a website depicting Harvey Dent’s campaign poster defaced with grotesque red lips and dark around his eyes. The website asks for an E-mail address, and then gives a five minute time limit to “play”. Each player receives a set of coordinates and upon entering them replaces a pixel of the defaced Harvey Dent picture with a pixel of another image: a shadowy portrait of a man with a scarred face, (gashes starting at the corners of his mouth, a “Chelsea smile”) and red face paint (or perhaps lipstick) smeared across his mouth. We’ll call this man “The Joker”.

We have two websites, an E-mail address, and several playing cards left in a public place. What is the next logical step? Do we wait, or do we pursue whatever the Joker has left for us?

In other news, I sent out some E-mail.

[email protected]
[email protected]

I immediately received a “Delivery Status Notification (Failure)” message. However…

I then sent e-mail to a whole bunch of names at ibelieveinharveydent.com

Such as:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

I didn’t get a undeliverable message, not yet, anyway.

In the text of the e-mail, I said I wanted to volunteer to campaign for Mr. Dent. Yeah, I really don't have a whole lot else to do today. :yay:

What do you think of the MySpace one that I showed?

I don’t think it’s legit, some of the text seems too out of character. For example:

Accept no substitutes, folks! But seriously, help me show my support fo' Gotham's newest up-'n-comin' district attorney, everyone's favorite Gothamite, Harvey Dent!

I could be wrong though. Will someone with a myspace send the owner of that page a message to see what happens?

i think it's for real, i sent a message, waiting on a reply

The myspace just seems too weird to be fake. It seems pretty inline with the ibeliveinharverydent and ibeliveinharverydenttoo websites.

The myspace page is 100% fake. I saw it yesterday before most of the information on it was added and I'm pretty sure someone on here took credit for making it.

Aw, really? Well it's pretty awesome. The photos and stuff seem real.

fake or not check out this very jokerish blog on the myspace

Dear Diary...

Last night, Mindy 'n I stayed up aalll night long playin' with makeup 'n dull carvin' utensils. By this morning, she was a brand new gal! Now she can't stop grinnin' ear-t'-ear! Woopsy -- Mindy's drippin' on the new carpet! Gotta run! Ha ha ha!

Love 'n giggles,

Yeah, the overall writing and such seems pretty legit... I guess we'll have to wait and see what else shows up on there.

Well, that kinda blows. I just got aroud to emailing "Mr. Happy", asking what I could do to help support...bummer...

Maybe this won't be an alternate reality game...maybe it'll be kinda like....part of something the Joker is planning, and we're part of the public, cought in the middle of it all...ya know, nothing for us to actually participate in, just watch...

Well, we know that the Dent and Joker pages ARE real, and the tak recently about a full-blown Dent site coming up soon, I say we just wait and see what happens...

Something is up both myspaces have the same horoscope sign which is the aquarius.

Dang...the time it takes me to type this stuff, and you find two more pages...

Either some fanboys has got a lot of time, or we got ourselves something happeneing here...

Question, to keep me up to speed, whats with the Rory's First Kiss stuff? I don't quite get it...

Rory's First Kiss is the name they are using for TDK while filming. So people who aren't akin to the internet don't immediately recognize it as TDK.

The myspaces are fake. They've been set up by fans. BTW it should be noted that the Joker image is 100% complete and it does not carry a link to anything else.

Well, then what about The Joker site? That wouldn't have worked without participation.
