Sick I hadn't thought of it artistsean but somebody likely Hal will end up with a ring of each color! maybe not permanently but it will happen.

Those look just like high school class ring. I totally disregarded tradition and got a simple white gold ring with an onyx background and old English E for my last name put on it. The only thing high school was my graduating year on the side very simple KISS.

i was inspired recently by looking at all the different lantern corps, even before sean posted those pics i had this idea. but had trouble getting it on paper so finally i settled on this design and now i am not saying that i am the first to do this ( i wonder if it has been done in the comic before ) but anyway even it has been done i still redesigned the costume . the hair may look like i messed up but i tried to keep a hint of the outline to help define the hair

anyway here is my WHITE LANTERN hes represents "pure creation" instead of death like the black lanterns

i would really like your opinions on how to make it better. i am almost done with my detective batman thanks to dk7's helpful ideas.

I don't think Hal should need the Black ring in order to become a white lantern. Black is not included in the color spectrum. It is the absence of color. All of the other colors should form white, and the white lantern should be the counter to the black lantern. Sounds solid to me.

i had an idea like that he finds the white power battery in the exact center of the universe. and that when the white lantern battery was lit it created the universe so the white lantern is pure creation, life incarnate .

and if he releases all the power of the ring at once he can create a planet

One for every finger (not including thumbs), and either become the White Lantern or become all the Lanterns like a Dr. Spectrum.
(all the colors in the light spectrum added together make white.)

I thought of that too Sean -- it seems to be where Johns is heading with the story. There has to be a reason each Corps wants Hal as one of their number.

Another thought I had was that it would be cool if the JLA, or maybe just the DC Heroes got one of each ring. Then, in an emergency, they could use the rings to defend the Earth/galaxy.
Superman = Hope
Batman = Fear
Aquaman(maybe?) = Rage

etc etc.

awesome drawing. it looks really cool

the short/trunks look kinda weird tho. i would end the black portion at or above his waist. or just get rid of the bottom portion completely. i love teh symbol, looks very much in line with the others. why didn't you use it in the drawing itself?

abotu your batman (very cool concept by the way), my suggestions
1. keep the trenchcoat either completely open (like dick tracy--resemble a cape effect) or completely closed (like rorschach--still can have a cape like effect like matrix neo). if the coat is open, the symbol can be inside, if closed, the symbol can be on the outside across hisi chest or on the side.
2. i would get rid of the trunks. doesn't really fit with the rest of the look
3. i like the hat, and havign the bat ears through the hat (not the hat in the shape of bat ears)
4. i wouldn't have the boots on the outside of the pants.
5. i would level the shoulders. i was never a fan of it in the comics.

1. VERY cool idea. it's solves the question how can the accident happen to make his face look like a clown. and the make-up angle of the TDK was one of the very few things i didn't like about TDK but i like the idea of having a war paint. so i like the compromise war paint idea of the mask.
2. i would give him a trenchcoat and a hat also. maybe a green suit and a purple trenchcoat and hat.

i still think all 3 are awesome. just some personal suggestions.

here's a re-tool . kinda made his belt like the white lantern logo i came up with. i also put the logo on his shoulder cause when he is clam and not fighting the logo isn't on his chest, only when it glows. plus in human form in that exact spot on his shoulder he has the white lantern logo tattooed.
but i might loose the logo on the shoulder its up to you guys

i kinda like the shoulder symbol, can you put it on both sides?

without it looks good too, more like the traditional suits. I really like the belt idea being part of the symbol.

sorry about that but on my screen it looks solid white . i don't know why. maybe the brightness is to high. but i lowered the brightness of the pics i a see what your talking about now. i apologize.

veyr nice. no need to be sorry about it. it was just a minor thing but kinda took away from the pic.

I love the double shoulder one because it is badass, BUT, i think since it is white depicting purity, i'm thinking that the tattooes actually may take away from that sense.

so i think it would be cool if the other colors had them, like green lantern.

well this thread kind of died and i feel like its my fault for posting all those variations of the white lantern.

but anyway a while back i posted a concept of a DETECTIVE BATMAN and dk7 said i need to change a few things with the mask and adding goggles and mo steel said he should have an open trench coat.. i kind if melded all of the ideas and still truing to keep it 1930ish. i gave him a revolver grappling hook and motorcycle goggles the coat is open except for the top with the symbol i really wanted to keep that from my old one i just move it up from his waist and i wanted to keep the old security guard night stick, so any opinions?
