The Death of Batman (?!?!?)

you said you found it petty that seth would drop captain america because steve rogers was dead...now why do you think its petty explain your reasoning. if you can't just say so.

Probably because Nub is misguided enough to believe that everyone reads comics for the stories when, in reality, a lot of people simply follow the characters they like and, if that character's not in a particular story, they feel no need to read that story. Even if it's one of the best stories in comics right now, as Brubaker's Cap is.

Well, it is petty to drop an entire company because a character you liked died. Petty is obsessing over small and unnecessary details. Caps death, even if you ignore the fact that it was done well, and was set up years in advance when the run started, and the book continues to be one of the best in the industry even though the title characters been dead for months, has no baring on the rest of the books Marvel is producing. To dump an entire company, because of it, is still petty and stupid. Missing out on books like Iron Fist, Avengers:Initiative, or the Incredible Hercules (yes I'm reading that, it's freakin' awesome.) because a character in a completely unrelated book died, is the very definition of petty.

I guess i'm kooky like that.

What, is Incredible Herc a guilty pleasure for you or something? Everyone should be reading that on the grounds of its being pure, undiluted awesome.

I don't have any guilty pleasures. If I did, it would be the fact that I still read Mighty Avengers.

I enjoy it. Though, if I gotta lose any more books from the pull list it's gone.

cap dieing didnt bug me... its JQ crapping on continuity he personally doesnt like and changing it with lame bandaids like mephisto (make MJ a skrull would have been WAY more acceptable and plausible than shoehorning the devil in there to make the book accessible to an audience that will only read the book sporadically at best...) or the scarlet witch... i actually would love to read cap, and thor... i hear the current xbooks havent been too bad either, but until JQ is gone, make mine DC...

Dang I'd been ignoring any news about Incredible Herc as I decided my pull list was pretty full.

I'm so adding another book.

Well The Order is coming to an end so I guess it can substitute in.

Didn't we just go through this scare with the New God rumors? Or was that just a swerve? :o

No way Bruce Wayne is batman simple as that another character could don the cape but it wont be the same Bruce wayne is as interesting as the batman character himself imo.

I think Tim Drake's more interesting as Batman, myself. But I agree, Bruce Wayne will be Batman for the long haul. If they kill off any of the trinity, it'll be Wonder Woman. No one really cares about her, if her sales are any indication.

if they hadnt killed off supermans good legacy and left us with supertwat id say kill all 3 and let the legacys take over... i hate that they never age...

Yeah, I like the possibility of Tim being Batman......but for most of the DC hero community.....Clark Kent will ALWAYS BE Superman; Bruce Wayne will ALWAYS BE Batman; and Diana Prince will ALWAYS BE Wonder Woman.

Heck, even Jay Garrick is still the Flash even when there is new blood to take over his spot. Hal Jordon is still the Green Lantern even when he was Parallax....(Possession, what bull!-DC's still screwed up)

And I know one group of people who are big fans of Wonder Woman.....who would care about her......

its not the women themselves who are fans.

Why do people want to see Tim as Batman? Is it gonna change his character? It'd be dumb if it does. What would be "interesting" about it? Tim in a different costume.

if Batman is killed off I would like to see The Joker blow his brains out, because without Batman, there is no Joker right?

That doesn't even make sense, why the hell would joker kill Batman himself?...he'll have no toy to play with.

remove yourself from this site.

Also, Tim being Batman doesn't sound all interesting to me, I have no idea why people are so eager to see him as bats and like mee said, Tim being bats isn't going to chnage him..so whats the point?
