It wasn't in the original press release. Though it said anywhere between 4-8 episodes.

The original Netflix deal was for "some 60 episodes" of TV according to Deadline. 13 episode seasons for four separate shows, and eight episodes for The Defenders.

So since all the first seasons are at 13 each, that would likely put Defenders somewhere at eight at least. I guess that could technically be more.

Yep. The Defenders contract was 60 eps. 13 for each solo series, and 8 left for the crossover miniseries.

I'd be shocked if they did as Elodie is starting to train again and has been for the past couple weeks. Also, the fact that Stick narrated the teaser at SDCC that was shown again at NYCC only confirms that she'll show up.

I doubt it. The point of the Defenders is a bunch of superheroes coming together to stop a threat none of them could face alone. Plus, the new trailer for Iron Fist sets up that he's the enemy of the Hand. So it'd be odd if they set that aside after Iron Fist and both seasons of Daredevil setting it up. I mean, they could do the Hand without Elektra and save her for season three of Daredevil, but it'd be odd.

Personal prediction: Weaver is going to be a mob boss or corrupt politician who partners with the Hand hoping they'll take care of the vigilantes for her.

Man I gotta say, and I don't wanna get ahead of myself, but Mike Colter & Finn Jones looked like they had amazing chemistry onstage today.

Charlie seemed a bit alone though. That's sort of the thing with Daredevil and the other 3, however. They're more connected as best friends and, well, lovers. Hope he shares leadership with Luke in the show.

Would be interesting to see the different approaches of fighting.
DD has Japanese martial arts + boxing + billy clubs
Jessica's is like a drunken brawl
Luke's is probably something like smacks with the back of the hand and throws, all without attempting to dodge
Danny's is like Chinese martial arts but with finding the right moments to 'charge up' his fists in between

I can't wait for Defenders. That group picture got my hyped! And just having finished LC didn't help either.

I am wondering, though, if Sigourney Weaver is playing the villain, the what's with Elektra and all that mysterious resurrection stuff in DD Season 2? I am a non-cbm reader and I have been completely lost on what the Hand were actually doing with that blood and then the ending shot with Elektra? i thought they will brainwash her and she will be the main villain for the Defenders to fight against.

Can someone explain a bit more, please?
