A Netflix serie with Thunderbolts could be good, but in the next year already will happens the Suicide Squad in the DC cronology. I think that is the same essence. Villains that have an oportunity to be heroes for a day...
I know, the plot is different, but basically is very similar.

The Ghost Rider would be nice, but, how someone spoke behind, the CGI costs are very high.

And, Moon Knight is like the Batman, but his stories are not so nice like the DC character.

In the Defenders, they could include some mutant, unpopular who knows. Suddenly Namor or Cloud. Other interest character is the Moondragon, she would be a good aquisition to this team. She is arrogant but has a good heart.:yay:

Namor is with the classic 1970s Defenders (Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer and Hulk) so he'd probably be part of the Avengers (not that he hasn't been an Avenger, he's been on every team but the Inhumans and Guardians).

Moondragon is Drax's daughter and the lover of Phylla-Vell. If she appears in the MCU, it's with the Guardians.

And I can't see Thunderbolts happening unless we get a second season of Luke Cage with Atlas, a third season of Daredevil with Bullseye, Shocker, Mach and/or Scorpion show up in Spider-Man in 20178 or we get a late 2019 sequel, Leader finally gets to reappear and do something evil and Ghost appears in an Iron Man sequel. We'd be looking at 2021 at the earliest. The whole appeal of Thunderbolts is that the audience recognizes them from fighting the heroes and we get to see their shot at redemption.

Ghost Rider should be saved for the big screen. He's the only property that needs a film bidget which would need an R rating to do well. A TV series would stretch the budget out over 13 hours and that's going to make the CGI look awful.

Moon Knight, Elektra, Blade, Punisher and She-Hulk are where Marvel should go next with Netflix. I feel roughly the same way about the Disney Channel and Power Pack and how ABC Family is the right network for Ms. Marvel, Avengers Academy and Runaways.

It's about demographics and each of the Netflix series would be aimed at an older audience since She-Hulk would require sex and at least partial nudity and the others are known for graphic violence. I mean, what's the point of Elektra or Punisher if they aren't going to break some skulls open?

Power Pack on the Disney Channel is really needed IMO since it's a series starring prepubescent kids. That's literally who watches the Disney Channel. Right now Marvel are focusing on Disney XD when there's a kinder, gentler side of the MCU that can be filmed for a younger audience too young for the PG-13 rated films who can then grow into the films.

And as for the teen series (Ms. Marvel, Runaways and Avengers Academy), I'd love to see them on ABC Family since that's considered to be a teen network.

ABC is doing the right thing with Damage Control, Mockingbird and SHIELD as that's a network for the lowest common denominator which appeals to a broad audience. The main danger is that Marvel are aiming for adults with Netflix but not doing enough to market the MCU to kids. Avengers Academy would open a lot of doors for them and unlike Young Avengers, it wouldn't age up Elizabeth Olsen from 26 to 46 since she would have two teenage sons. (Young Avengers needs to come MUCH later, IMO) and Runaways would be great since nobody believes that Ultron is truly dead.

Ooo, I honestly like that lineup. Elektra, I hope would be filmed on location in Japan. What with the money they've been raking in. Punisher should just mosey on in New York or Chicago or LA. Moon Knight... Curious... Werewolves or...? I think him and Blade could start a new Nightstalkers or something. That'd be interesting. I know many like their Moon Knight fighting regular criminals and Fist of Kanshu and such, but it'd be a redundant with Daredevil and Iron Fist. I think werewolf hunter could be interesting. It's his origin after all.

Elektra Season 1 should be shot in Washington DC and wherever can substitute for South America.

Moon Knight should stick to his normal rogues gallery and put an emphasis on psychological horror.

Punisher should be filmed in New York. Then use the outskirts of the city and warehouses to double for other locations.

We don't need Nightstalkers. Doctor Strange is a film character. If Marvel really want to do Ghost Rider correctly, they'd put him on the big screen. Blade would work better on TV where it would be a mystery series with vampires in it. It's VERY difficult to get the film and TV sides to work together since one is run by Kevin Feige and the other by Jeph Loeb and the latter also has Ike Perlmutter and ABC Television outranking Loeb and the TV side don't have to deal with Alan Horn so there's a ton of bureaucracy there. I can see cameos for one or two episodes or a film where a TV character has a major role but for a film character to be involved in a major role in a TV series would require a LOT of pre-planning among various different departments.

Sigh. How many times do people need to be reminded, that the Defenders Netflix series will have absolutely nothing to do with the Marvel team involving Namor, Hulk, Dr Strange, and the Silver Surfer?

I dunno. 46? I just can't wait to see the team standing together.

Also, I still think the Defenders have a chance at being in IW. Now peope are saying F4 in IW. But Marvel is likely gonna pull out all the stops for IW. Considering Marvel is all under the same studio regardless of the division that means someone has to be at the very top of all the studio divisions. Whoever that someone is will want to pull out all the stops for IW. Which would include introducing Defenders. Then there's the slightly different case of the F4. They are in the clutches of an entirely different studio with contracts and legal documents saying the have the permission to use the F4. The time it would take to get the F4 back alone would be atleast a years, then the casting process and concept making.
Defenders are already cast and in Marvels hands, they have a large chance of appearing already.

So what? This isn't the 616 universe. It's a different universe, things change, get over it.

The people who need to "get over it" are the ones who keep bringing up people who *will not be members of the Defenders*, in the context of the Defenders miniseries.

If this series gets hate. Will the fans who protect it be the shows Defenders?

G'day,

OK, but who will then be the Defenders? Maybe:

Iron Fist & Misty Knight
Luke Cage & Jessica Jones
and how about-
Dare Devil & Hellcat , which has a nice ring to it.

The Defenders will be Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Simple as that. I seriously doubt they will introduce any extra protagonists beyond them, not with just eight episodes.

While I agree, I feel like there is a big chance that Elektra and/or Punisher could appear if needed depending on the villain/threat they have to go up against.

I definitely feel like elektra will be involved. Especially if its the chaste and the hand they'll be fighting.

I could picture one more making their debut there.

It'd be ridiculous to have only those . they could easily fit one or two more characters on the team.

I think the number of heroes depends on the villain.

Hopefully they have a second season of JJ and further develop Trish Walker into Hellcat. She NEEDS to be in the Defenders!

I think the core team will be the DD, JJ, LC and IF. But their supporting cast will play big roles in the team-up. Claire Temple, Punisher, Elektra, Stick, Stone, Trish Walker, Misty Knight all seem super likely. And I'm hopeful that Colleen Wing will show up in Iron Fist.

Agree with this. Any supporting character that is popular in the individual series will make it to Defenders.

If Legends of Tomorrow is any indication on how a team up show can turn out I have faith in Marvel's Defenders.

Assuming Marvel-Netflix will do only 2 shows a year. Also assuming Daredevil (being the most prominent) will have a season every year, it will go like...

2015 - DD S1, JJ
2016 - DD S2, LC
2017 - DD S3, IF,
2018 - DD S4, Defenders

Well they already said JJ is getting a second season, and I don't think they'll wait until 2019 for that. I would guess we might not get another season of DD until after the Denfenders, and replace those shows with JJ and maybe a Heroes for Hire.

Yeah a season of DD every year would just be hella milking. Take a break for a year and let another hero get the limelight.

Anyone have any ideas on showrunners? I'm not really versed in that area of entertainmnet, but I'd love Goddard to come back and essentially finish what he started with Daredevil.

As for when to do Defenders, I think it should be next on the list after Luke Cage & Iron Fist. So basically a late 2017 release.

I think his schedule is somewhat open now, so he could commit to a 4-8 episode season. With 400+ scripted shows out there now, any TV writer can be a showrunner so it could be anyone who has worked in TV.

It would be great if the showrunners from the other four shows also joined the writing staff, along with their second in commands - teaming up just like the characters.

Netflix wants to release original content every week so I could see 2017/2018 having 3-4 Marvel shows out each year. Just like Marvel is shifting to 3 films a year in 2017. Each quarter could have its own Marvel series.
