I can't wait for Defenders. That group picture got my hyped! And just having finished LC didn't help either.

I am wondering, though, if Sigourney Weaver is playing the villain, the what's with Elektra and all that mysterious resurrection stuff in DD Season 2? I am a non-cbm reader and I have been completely lost on what the Hand were actually doing with that blood and then the ending shot with Elektra? i thought they will brainwash her and she will be the main villain for the Defenders to fight against.

Can someone explain a bit more, please?

Well that ending with Elektra pretty much is her getting brought back to life by the Hand. It isn't confirmed but seeing as though Nobu was still walking around in season 2 after being burned to a crisp in season 1... you can assume that she'll be coming back.

As for thinking Elektra is the villain-- she very well could be. Look at all the Netflix series on the past. There's one big villain and a few on the side. Weaver could be playing someone who is in The Hand or a politician of sorts or even the head of IGH.

Could that woman in the last episode or two of DD season 2 who is dealing with Nobu be someone from IGH company and Sigoirney Weaver is playing someone above her?

kinda random question: has it ever been said when these Netflix shows take place?
I know it's probably a bit tricky to pinpoint exactly. Obviously it takes place after The Avengers 1, but unless I missed something (I most likely did) is there anything else saying where these take place in terms of before AoU after AoU, etc.

I seem to remember an AoU reference in JJ, but I can't pinpoint which episode...That would place it in the time frame it aired, around Fall/Winter of 2015, so after AoU obviously. Season 2 of DD references JJ, but I also remember a calendar (in the NY bulletin?) that read December 2015 in one of the later episodes of the season, which places it in a parallel time frame as JJ despite airing 5 months later in early 2016...And remember that DD S2 actually starts in the summer, so the early part of the season may actually take place before the time JJ starts.... I guess the general rule would be to place them (roughly) when they air...

In a clip shown at the Iron Fist panel, Danny tells another character that the Iron Fist are the sworn enemy of the hand so I wonder if Stick is aware of who and what an Iron Fist is and if he will be pleased to meet Danny, maybe Stick will favor Danny for his fighting ability and make Matt jealous, I think Daredevil may feel inefficient working with the other 3 defenders and their abilities.

Yourselve(S) as in Plural. Which means he's likely talking down on them all so they can prove him wrong. But him playing down Matt for Danny or the other Defenders would be an interesting Dynamic. And force Matt's full potential out in a time of need.

I dont think its a given that Stick assembles them, just encounters them as a group at some point. Possibly trains them. I would love for a scene where Stick takes down each of them in succession. Powers and all.

I think 8 episodes will make for a tighter story with better development for the team and how they form along with developing the antagonists (The Hand and Sigourney Weaver).

I think we all knew it was essentially going to be eight episodes. The initial deal was for 60 episodes of TV, and that mean 13 episode first seasons and eight episodes of Defenders.

Granted, Netflix episodes are longer than the typical TV episode. Some of those Daredevil eps ran pretty long.
