Luke Cage and Jessica Jones both got flabby in the back half. Daredevil S2 got a little disjointed in the back half at times. Eight episodes means we will have a tight, focused season.

Not that I didn't enjoy the heck out of them, and they got better with rewatching, but I agree 100% with this. I think 8 episodes is Perfect!

I enjoyed them too. I didn't hate them either. But I think the writing on say the back half of those episodes wasn't quite as tight and quite as strong as Daredevil ran for in its first season.

It's almost like seeing set pics for Jessica Jones season 2. In fact, most of these pics have felt like that, since Luke Cage was in JJ anyway.

I wonder who of the four heroes will have most screentime. Probably Daredevil. As far as I know he is the most popular and this has DD's showrunners. Then again, they might take this opportunity to work with other characters.

I hope they don't spend most of the show in their civilian clothes only to team up and suit up only in the last 20 minutes of the final episode. I don't want to have to wait until season 2 to have to see them as a team and all together in costume.

I still don't really think that this was built up to enough in his own show. But, I won't begrudge him for getting some sweet Rosario lovin because, wow just wow.

Hopefully the series starts with Murdock getting Cage out of prison.

Yeah I wasn't too fond of that ending, so hopefully it's undone very quickly here.

I thought it was bad, but I think it's easily fixable. I would've avoided having Cage go to prison at the end by Murdock coming in and showing how Cage's rights were violated previously and do some legal kung fu where authorities have to begrudgingly step aside.

So even though the season ends with Mariah and Shades in power, Harlem still has Luke Cage there to watch its back.

So just have Murdock come in, show how Seagate was performing illegal human experimentation of which Cage was a victim and claims he was guilty are dubious at best. As a result, Seagate gives him a quiet pardon to keep everything under wraps otherwise, the information goes to the press.

The reason I don't like it is because I think it's a silly loose end the plot for Defenders now has to tie up

They also have the files with the truth as well. Less work for murdock.

I didn't have a problem with Luke going to prison, the finale made it painfully obvious it wasn't going to last and gives a good starting point for his character in the Defenders. Even opens the door for Matt, Foggy, or Hogarth for continuing plot threads. To me the ending was more about Luke's views about the turmoil his actions caused, his willingness to work with the system to not be feared, and the hope that he can have lasting freedom without having to be on the run.

I just think it was a clumsy ending for Luke Cage's season. Because it has to be fixed for DEFENDERS and not season 2 of Luke Cage.

Imo it is better to save Luke and Matt's meeting for the Defenders.

Good thing Luke Cage is the most watched Marvel show on Netflix. Ratings > Your opinions

That's because they were drawing heavily on Alias. Luke is an important part of Jessica's story in a way that no two other characters compare.
